Thoughts on Waxworks?
>>12630718The game is only famous because of the death scenes
>>126307182hard4me. i prefer the 2 movies.
>>12630730what's up with the death scenes, anyway? they feel so out place. did the artist use real dead bodies as a reference?
>>12630718Wax status?
>>12633917>did the artist use real dead bodies as a reference?it's not hard if you're a great pixel artist...
>>12634014Most of today's pixel artists are nowhere near this old school stuff. It's always this silly and ideally blocky style to do as little actually work as possible
>>12630730So which part filtered you?
>>12630718 (OP)Waxworks feels like a 4-in-1 game. I prefer Elvira II.
>>12630718Too hard for me.The game is beautiful and creepy, the UI is great, etc. but you can't heal IIRC (or not much) and the enemies can come endlessly while you're struggling to explore the mazes.
>>12633917>they feel so out placeI don't know about that. Every scenario is pretty morbid to begin with. You instantly find a throat-slashed whore in Jack the Ripper's level for instance.
>>12630718Would love it if the combat wasn't required and completely garbage , great music and story, but I CANT HIT ANYTHING IN THE FUCKING GAME!
Great game but the combat was only good back then due to "1st person novelty" and lush visuals. Gfx and music are still ace though!
>>12630718That dude is SWOLE AS FUARK. Why does he have a vagina in place of his belly button?
>>12633917it's a theme for amiga horror soft dungeon crawlers.
>>12639092I imagine the two outer curved sections are the bottom of his shirt, pulling apart a bit to reveal the central section, which is probably his actual skin.
>>12633919i am ashamed to admit that i lol'd
>>12630718>let's put effort towards graphics, story and death scenes>and let's shove it behind some dungeon crawler gameplay that was an afterthoughtwhy
>>12639512u mad?
