When does it get good?I'm tempted to skip to 4. It seems a lot more interesting.
>>12631070someone recommended me 2 and i don't give a fuck about this game, i wish i had paid 10x as much for Final Fantasy II (US)
>>12631070Story-wise? It drops off a cliff after third and last fight with Balio & Sunder and stops being interesting (or rather there are some interesting developments, but they never lead to something actually worth caring about).Gameplay-wise? After you get Momo and Peco - by that moment a decent amount of Masters are available, you get access to Dragon Genes and just in general having a full party again is nice. But you'll still suffer from a bunch of one-time gimmick mini-games throughout the game.I like BoFIII because it's basically playing a full party of Blue Mages from FF. Music and art are great, character interactions are neat (and usually characters will always have something new to say during campfires whenever stuff happens in the story), but the actual plot is just whatever.
IV may be interesting aesthetically but it's inferior to III in most regards.
>>12633123But 4 is shit aesthetically like why would you even bother bringing up its shit browns and piss yellows. You're saying that nasty shit is superior to the color palette and fairy tale style of 1-3. I sure do love a game where the whole aesthetic is as bland as the outer continent in 3 and half the enemies are inconsistent polygon barf instead of 2d sprites. Including the last boss. Why do BoF4 faggots constantly pretend that ugly shit looks good?
>>126310703 is the best BoF. 4 is good, but 3 is better. I don't know how far you are but things get pretty great.
I never finished either, but I enjoyed 3 more than 4 from what I played. Or at least it held my interest longer.
