Town of Grove...home.
>>12647740wow i've never heard of the fate series and have been on a ps2 diablo clone spree.is the remaster good?
>>12647740Grove Street...home
Bro nobody ever has heard of fate when I try to talk about it but it was so fun. Yeah it was Diablo for babies but it was charming.
>>12647772I didn't even know there was a remaster but no just play the original that screenshot looks terrible.
>>12647740Newbie here. What difficulty should I play? (as in is the hardest option actually that hard?)
looks comfy, what game?
>>12648095It's kind of crazy how few people remember it despite it being installed on everyone's windows xp home computer.
>>12648203>despite it being installed on everyone's windows xp home computer.?specifically home edition? i've never used home edition, i started on older second hand machines which had dos (various versions), 95, and the first family computer we got had 98SE. i used ME after that (deliberately, it really wasn't that bad), and then eventually XP pro. anything after 98SE was pirated and on custom hardware, so there was never a reason for me to use home edition
>>12648269I think he just means that it's something everybody had a copy of. Kind of like Chef Aid which was in everybody's closet
>>12648284well idk where he or you live because i'm still waiting to know what this game is and i can't say i've heard of chef aid either
>>12648307It's literally name dropped in the first reply of the thread
>>12648312"fate series" is worse than useless, since there's a popular series called "fate" that is clearly not this.i'm actually not being difficult here, i really don't know what this game is
Really cool not to say the game's name or what system it was played on.
>>12648168FATE gets RIDICULOUSLY hard during the second half of the dungeons even on Page. You get shredded to bits and you have to constantly spam health charms and go back to town when you run out. >>12648269It wasn't the full game but the WildTangent application was installed on my home edition XP and I'd play the shit out of the demos for FATE, Polar Bowler, Polar Golfer, Blasterball 2, and Blackhawk Striker 2.
>>12648361FATE (2005) for PC. Awesome first baby's RPG (it was my first one).
>>12648368>>12648371ooh, it was just called "fate", that an unfortunate name, especially for a weeb at the time who would have only thought of pic related
>>12648349*sigh* It's called Fate. It was made in 2005.
>>12648349https://www.gog.com/en/game/fate
>>12648418this >>12648371is what made me find what's being talked about, but thanks.i'll have a look into it, i like the diablo formula and i don't recall playing anything like diablo that wasn't diablo (a clone).>>12648397just one of i'm sure many games that i just completely missed.
>>12648368Dude you just awoken the memory of having to insert virtual wild tangent tokens in order to keep playing the demo, I completely forgot about that haha
>>12648168The other anon is overexaggerating the difficulty. I remember really struggling when I was younger but I played it a couple years back and it was ezmode. If you have played some Diablo clones in the past you'll be fine, I think I played on Hero. Make sure you go fishin for good companions because they help a TON iirc. They usually only last a finite amount of time per summon so you gotta stock up on fish/summon scrolls. They take a lot of aggro off you which helps immensely with survivability.
>>12649319There are fish that permanently change your pet. Those are a literal godsend.
>>12648284CALIFORNIA SUN HAS SUNKlove and hate that album. songs are either hits or misses.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ6PiLUxkYQ
Was Fable better?
>>12652271Of course
>>12648368>WildTangent applicationMy mom was convinced this was a virus so I didn't want to run it.
>>12648368you had a different childhood to me because i haven't heard of wildtangent before
>>12652271I wouldn't know i never played fable or any of its sequels
