The movie was absolute garbage but the game based on it was quite enjoyable unlike "The Mummy" and many other movie based games. It's no masterpiece by any means and yes it's a cheap DMC clone but the combat system feels satisfying with enough weapon and enemy type variety, platforming sections that contain hidden upgrades, the tone is much more serious and sinister compared to the movie along with the voice acting although the game is quite short, underwhelming plot wise and has no replay value. The soundtrack is quite solid and memorable as well.

Are there other games that are unexpectedly decent?

I like Eragon, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow and King Arthur (2004)
>>
I'd also mention one of the least popular CoD titles - Finest Hours. If you can bear the controls then you'll noticed that the game's atmosphere and variety is superior to any other CoD game. The soviet campaign was very memorable (also soviets weren't shown as barbaric unlike in your typical western WWII moviet), especially the characters who had some depth and a story to tell and commissars's speech in the first mission was quite well writen and inspiring.

And Michael Giacchino's soundtrack greatly enhances the atmosphere, without it the game would feel quite bland. If you played first two Medal of Honor games then you'll recognize this amazing composer.

Lord Of The Rings series on ps2 and King Kong were quite good as well. Also The Battle Of The Middle Earth was quite unique compared to typical RTS.

Every movie based game I ever played from the 2000s was pretty damn good including yours OP.

The stereotype that licensed games are bad always baffled me.

It's half decent, but it lacks the budget to be "The Incredibles 2" or even "Incredibles 1.5"

Dead to Rights comes suitably under this classification

This movie was my girlfriend's sexual awakening.
>>
>>12647948
Big Red one was better
>>
>>12648005
I have seen some people say it's better than the first game
>>
>>12650260
Better than the first game, sure. I just wish it had the whole family in more cutscenes to feel more like an Incredibles 2.

Lemmy guess, she now reads THOSE books?

All of the ones I had on Game Boy Color as a kid were absolutely horrible, especially Toy Story 2 and Rugrats.

>The movie was absolute garbage
Fuck outta here. That movie was amazing.
The game was actually pretty good, too, yeah.

A fun hack and slash made total war series guys.

I was impressed with how many enemies they got on the screen at once. The game also has a good range weapons to use. Gets a bit repetitive near the end and the story is a bit boring but I have had good fun playing. The gore system is also detailed if you are in to that.

The game is called Spartan Total War. Sorry forgot to add
>>
riddick
>>

OH SHIT! I remember using a screenshot of that for a school history project. We had to write up a store that was owned by a Greek god and I made mine Ares' Gun Shop. The first results on Google Images for Ares was a screenshot from that game.

>The gore system is also detailed if you are in to that.
Based I'm definitely gonna be checking this out.

I remember Van Helsing having a Castlevania reference which was cool.
>>12647947
>Eragon
Super linear but pretty playable.
>Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow
This was fun, but I never beat it.

The Constantine game was a decent The Suffering clone

>the game's atmosphere and variety is superior to any other CoD game
