The first time you encounter him is a bit tense because you don't know what to expect and it takes you off guard, but subsequent encounters are just so lame and formulaic.

You literally just stand in one spot and unload your shotgun into him as he slowly lumbers towards you and he dies in <10 seconds. His attacks deal very little damage and can easily be shrugged off, and he is even so generous as to drop more ammo than you even expend while killing him.

The section where you turn on the CCTV just to see him, I'm just sitting there cracking up, because it's like so predictable and he's so unscary and unthreatening at that point, it's like "whatever bro, thanks for the ammo"

The game just gives you way too much ammo in general, I ended with like 30 magnum rounds, a full flamethrower, a half full SMG, 15 shotgun rounds, and like 75 pistol rounds and this was my first time playing and I killed most enemies and probably missed a bunch

The best way to play RE2 are the Nightmare and Expert difficulty modes only available in the Dreamcast and Windows ports. They make ammo and health items much more scarce.
