Many fun games are quarter pumpers. But take them for what they are. On home platforms they couldn't pump you for quarters so you had to make due with limited continues, sometimes a password, even more rarely a save game option.

>>12654184I've played a lot of quarter-sucker shmups and they almost all fall flat. Iridis Alpha being one exception, you can always come back to that. But it has extra dimensions of play, sometimes you actually NEED to take damage and it's all semi-randomized.
