I always found this weird. DCT is such a quintessential part of Sonic.
Sonic's first ever public apparition was in a DCT live tour poster.
The DCT music is VERY similar to the Sonic 1 and 2 soundtracks, unsurprisingly.
Some of the Sonic songs actually either were originally DCT songs, or were later adapted as DCT songs, at least some elements.
They still humor Sonic fans even in modern times, some years ago they released a new song using the main melody from Green Hill Zone (which, in reality, was originally from an old DCT song).
The Dreams Come True name appears in both Sonic 1 and 2 credit staff.
So I just find it unlikely that a fanbase as obsessive as the Sonic one is wouldn't be all over DCT, but yeah nobody in the west seems to care
