Hell yeah, all my favorite Simpsons characters in one game, Wrestler Guy, Giant Drunk Dude, Kabuki Man and Bear!
>>
It's one of the weakest Konami beat em ups and the source material is kikeslop
Play better games like Violent Storm, TMNT2 or Metamorphic Force
>>

>kikeslop
The fuck does this mean? slop derives from goyslop, which implies a low quality product made by jews for the gentile masses, would kikeslop be low quality shit For jews BY jews, or by goys for jews?
>>
>>12654742
>slop derives from goyslop
no, goyslop is a portmanteau
>>
>>12654724
Games take time to make, and they wanted to cash-in on Simpsons mania, so the game was based heavily on a bunch of designs and the show's bible rather than episodes. So there's a scene where they watch pro-wrestling on TV. Konami has no idea if this is going to be some huge running gag like Itchy and Scratchy, or if it's just one god damn scene.

Kabuki man is either 100% created by Konami to throw something Japanese in, or it's some unused design or scene from the show.

Early simpsons exists in this weird dimention where it has a lot of side-material and often is very different than the show.

goyslop is indeed a portmanteau of goy + slop(literal), but the usage of -slop as a suffix for disparing whatever it is appended derives from this, so i was wondering why he was making a whole new portmanteau instead of using the original word coined circa 2024 made specifically for that.

And so, the real question here is.
>Is he a newfriend?
>>
>>12654742
>The fuck does this mean?
jew produce of middling quality
>>
>>12654756
There's a concerted effort underway to dilute the origin and use of "goyslop."

IIRC, the big drunk guy was supposed to be the guy who owned Moe's Bar, as part of a dark humor joke that Moe doesn't actually own Moe's Bar, he just works there. But then in S2 or S3 they did some flashback where Moe was still running Moe's Bar, which would have raised too many questions to make it funny, so they dropped the character without ever introducing him.
No source, no one really knows, probably just some made up rumor. Who knows?

wasnt this game made really early into the Simpsons' run? like when they were either still on the Tracey Ullman Show or fresh off it?
>>
Is there a mod where you can play as Sneed & Chuck?
>>

It started development when season 1 was airing but there's hints showing that the dev team was given info and designs for season 2 (such as the first stage boss)

I always wondered why they used blue shirt Bart in the game but my best guess is that the team wanted each character to have a distinct color palette that people could recognize at a glance

>simpsons sitcom : 1989
>konami's simpsons arcade game: 1991
They didn't have much to work with.
They should have made a Tapper clone but you play as Moe
>>
>>12654724
tbf when the game came out Simpsons was like...not even 2 seasons in. They had almost no material to work with. I'm surprised we didn't get Black Smithers.
The actual problem with the game is it's filled with bosses whose revenge value counterattacks are hard to dodge so you just take unnecessary damage and thus eats through quarters.
>>
>>12656418
>I'm surprised we didn't get Black Smithers.
The game had White Smithers in Black Smithers' clothes, at least.
>>
>>12655667
Apparently Blue Shirt Bart is a staple of the Simpsons comics and a lot of generic enemies in the game are from there too
>>
Burns stealing a diamond instead of just buying it makes more sense when you remember in early Simpsons, Burns was only a millionaire, not a billionaire, and thus why giving over just 1m in Bart Gets Hit By A Car was such a big deal.
>>
>>12655020
If Moe doesn't own Moe's then why the fuck is it called Moe's? This theory makes no sense.
>>
I have the same problem with this game that I do with Turtles in Time: jumping kicks are way too fucking powerful, it lets you cheese the game
>>
Early Simpsons had a mysterious aura that was lost over time
I love that the Konami game exists as proof of this era and moment
>>
Doing it so early into the show's run is probably the only reason they could take as many creative liberties as they could
>>
>>12656434
Burns in the earliest episodes was a jerk boss, but not the unspeakable evil he'd ultimately turn into.
>>
Konami had very very little to actually work with.

Probably just storyboards and maybe English only episodes up to around "Call of the Simpsons" (so the first 7 episodes)
Plus they most likely had this promotional style guide, which was made before the first episode even aired.

>>
yeah it's odd how much of simpsons mania feels concentrated around seasons 1 and 2. as far as the show their the awkward early years but in terms of merchandising they were the peak.
>>
>>12656513
Pretty sure in TiT a bunch of enemies counter aerial attacks, starting with the generic purple foot soldiers
>>
>>12656468
Because the original owner purchased it from a guy named Moe who originally owned it and named it. Or Moe was so deeply in debt he was no longer the owner of the bar. Not that far out of a concept.

>>12656535
>jerk boss
He was a tyrant who fired an employee because a kid at his company party wasn't excited to be there. And he happily placed the entire town at risk of meltdown by shoving Homer into the Safety Supervisor position. He was always evil.
