How come Konami never made Bayou Billy 2? Super Bayou Billy on the SNES could have been pretty sweet. They could have added Scope support for light gun segments. Imagine shooting alligators with a rocket launcher.
Despite being released 1 year later in the US than in Japan, Bayou Billy was definitely designed for the US market first and formost, Konami was one of the firsts Japanese publishers to give special treatment to the US market after Contra became a best seller there while nobody cared about it in Japan.You also have to consider that the game is designed for the lightgun. Lightgun which was an important part of early NES in the US and which absolutely nobody gave a fuck about in Japan while millions of users had it in the US. So treating the Japanese version like it's the intended versions seems completely backwards to me.Konami of US probably just had their hands full in 1988 to release this what with the 5 games per year rule in the US, Ultra had only been born in summer 88 too so they might have been hesitent to open the floodgates with it.
