I don't ever come to /vg/ but saw this thread on the main page and it made me remember I used to get this magazine as a teenager. I still remember the issues came with demo discs and it introduced me to so many games I eventually bought on the original xbox including Deus Ex invisible war. I know it's not kindly regarded, but that demo hooked me into wanting to play the game and it's how I bought it eventually so thanks for helping me remember that. Still wish I didn't throw out all my old magazines and demo disks decades ago. Another game was Escape from Butcher Bay, the demo disc for that got me to watch Pitch Black and made me so hyped for that game and it was a great game too. What was cool is they came in those really thin plastic cases too, man I miss those days of actually going into barnes and noble and reading through gaming magazines before I bought them and brought them home and buying the games based on what looked cool to me at the time.
