One of my all time favorite franchises.
Got into it through the super famicom games years ago. I still play through Magginesu once a year or so. Haven't played a single game by Etsunobu Ebisu that has disappointed so far.

So far the only ones I beaten are golden pipe (I feel like game balance was rushed at the end but still fun) and the original one on Famicom (a bit to long for it's own good)
Now I want to beat the second one

It seems that new Goemon compilation is selling really well. Or at least, it's getting really good reviews which means Goemon is still popular and a beloved franchise in Japan and Konami seems happy about it, they are releasing new merch

Unlikely as it'd require translations for almost all of them + possible censorship so as to not to offend western sensibilities.
However, I'm optimist for Konami working together with Etsunobu Ebisu again for an all new Goemon entry...
