Currently, I turn in somewhat in the middle, lift throttle, then mash the throttle to break the rear out and oversteer it, sliding it as close to the grass as possible, then you glide out of it using the full width of the track into the straight to minimize speed loss before the straight.

One thing I'll say is that I'm impressed at how it's into oversteering, but it also subverts what you expect.There's the "medium difficult right" on this, but they made a part of the mountain jut out blocking the speed line and encouraging the "slide, swing back, swing again into another slide through a corner" line. I'm surprised. I almost think someone making this game knew how to drift.
