Not bad. What sort brand/ quality of cables did you get? The quality of cable does effect picture quality. Especially at a 32 inchs. I had a 36 inch jvc crt that I had to really feed it nice cables or still see analog noise. At least I can still use those cables on my scaler now.
>>
>>12680152
If your cables don't look like pythons, are you really retrogaming?
>>
>>12680152
not OP but I found an OEM one at a goodwill for $1.49
also got a gamecube one for $8 at a bookstore
yes both component not composite, and yes I actually use both and have no interest in selling them. Now I just need to find an xbox one but that's getting harder. I passed one up for $40 thinking I'd find one at goodwill but I still haven't

Seeing a memory card slot on a CRT is weird.

how hard would it be to swap a crt screen on a 13' trinitron?

assuming you have two models of the same TV, you would just keep the working one as-is and be done with it.
assuming you have two different models of TV, it's probably retardedly difficult unless the tubes are somehow exactly the same
>>
I kinda want one of those tiny CRTs with a vcr to put on my desk but I doubt I'd ever use it.

>Go to audiophile forum
>Instead of people advocating for best speakers, cables and bespoke vinyl player, people advocate for using a home recorded cassette of a home recorded cassette on a 80s walkman with dogshit 80s headphones for authenticity and because such setup hides whatever production imperfections the music has by turning everything into tonal mush

vinyl is literally worse quality

Sony KV-20S40 I picked up from the dump last month. Some crackhead cut the power cable for copper. After repair and service menu adjustments it looks pretty good. Component moddable.
Every time I go there's a pallet of CRTs sitting there for the taking. Nothing crazy but now I have 4 Trinitrons, 3 Panasonics, and some other junk.

>>12681997
>The elites don’t want you to know this but the CRTs at the dump are free you can take them home I have 458 CRTs.

The Dreamcast launched with VGA support via a separately sold VGA cable, that would let you play all Dreamcast games in 480p quality.
But the Dreamcast was released in December 1998 in Japan.
So if you were going to play your DC games on a PC CRT it was probably an old PC-98 monitor.

Won't they have been rained on?

Moving into a new place, and I kinda want to get scart switch with two outputs (one for CRT, one for video capture). How are those Aliexpress ones? Idea is to get GBSC Pro and cheap UVC HDMI grabber so I can just capture gameplay.
>>
>>12682689
Yeah they're sometimes wet from the rain when I get them. Once dried out they're good to go through.

It'll be dead once shaders stop being a nightmare to tweak and fuck with.
>>

>stop being a nightmare to tweak and fuck with
You just know this dude would have a panic attack if faced with a command line
>>
>>12683783
DOS is 10k times easier to fuck with than any shader out there
>>
>>12683785
What the fuck are you even using? MegaBezel? use a simpler shader first

CRT-Guest-HD and CRT-Lottes
>>
>>12683798
Guest is comprehensive but not too bad, the parameters are all self-explaining. Just find a base setting you like, save it and don't think too hard about it
>>
>>12683803
>the parameters are all self-explaining
Yes because halation and mask are clearly self explainable.

You can ask any search engine what is halation (but believe me it's not that important unless you want a very blurry look). And masks are the most basic thing you should know about CRTs. On top of that you should also learn about TVL (which in guest-advanced is controlled by mask type and mask size settings). By the way, I advise sticking to the normal guest-advanced shader over the HD version, the HD version overcomplicates some things and it looks worse IMO.

Anon, I don't want to know any of this, I want to play a fucking videogame. I'll demonstrate what I mean.

This is CRT Lottes fresh out of the box. The colors are fucked up, it's blurry and I don't think scanlines are supposed to be vertical like that.
