Games you love for some reason that others dont

Love this game for its music, and the Balverines being a really fun enemy.

I only played Anniversary but I liked it, until it became mindless beat em up halfway (with skeletons and werewolves)
>>
I've seen a ton of people knock this game for the slippery controls, but I honestly don't mind them.

This game is a schizodementia simulator
Everything starts normal, you graduate, help folks with pest control, donate books to a library...

And then strange shit starts happening, like doors talking to you, giant mounds throwing rocks, a brothel next to a swamp of horrors and a demonic altar....

Lastly, when age takes over, all you can see is snow surrounding an old city, with the mayor being death itself. Like fragments of a dying memory going blank, going out with a bang of agitation (final boss)

I loved this game. Definitely had some rose tinted glasses on because I really liked Lionhead because of black and white.

When I figured out you can get the bow of skorm before even doing the wasp queen quest that was awesome to me.

I played this in a very autistic way where I would not level up my guy too much because it ages you. I would also reload any time I got a scar from a hit. I would also keep my guy neutral so he didn't get white hair or horns or anything. So I would usually finish the game at like age 30 with flawless skin and a perfect head of black hair.

It's not 2006 anymore. Fable is generally pretty well regarded now.

I like how onion knights look.

As someone who was actually a kid when this came out I really liked it and it was amazing for a console RPG. People who hate on it are mostly mad because Molyneux overpromised bullshit that was literally impossible to deliver.

What game is this

I'd love to play this game but I've tried it twice and both times it's just been too janky to run smoothly

Mario Kart 64 had 4 battle stages and every one of them was an instant classic. Double Dash had 6 and none of them were even slightly memorable

I remember seeing the original trailer for it on Xbox.

Shit brings back memories.

I don't think anyone actually dislikes 3, just that no one has ever played it. 5 has this exact same issue.

That's fable (of a dying mind)
Chicken chaser was chasing his memories all along, but he couldn't win in the end and succumbed to the jack of blades slashing his life thread away

I love Fable, it succeeded Ocarina of Time personally. I replay it every few years.

lots of people love fable 1. heres a real example of something only i appreciate. despite its flaws and emptiness it was a unique rpg at the time. ps1 couldn't handle big seamless 3d spaces like the n64 could, and this game took advantage of that. but no one else really tried that with this genre until gen 6 and games like kingdom hearts/dqviii came around. plus it has a fun battle system and progression system. for an imaginative 8 year old who loved rpgs, it was a great game.

back in the day, people shat on fable because they didn't get to watch grass grow, or have a family, or plant trees, or whatever the fuck else molyneux promised
