The Hanging Gardens of Anonylon
https://files.catbox.moe/jfc5hi.park

I'm real happy with how this one turned out. The intention was to give you limited area but the actual temple is pretty boring, its largely flat, so i wont hold it against you if you go into the forest.

I fucked up one of my custom objects and had to spend a bunch of time messing around to fix it, so hopefully it all works properly. As per usual it doesn't have added items

I cannot stop messing with the racing coaster. If it isn't perfectly timed, I can't let it go.

a question about the RCT games on Steam

is Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic the newest version of the game? and does it contain everything from RC1 and 2 plus expansions?
>>
>>12687365
Correct, but if you're on PC, there isn't really a reason to play that over OpenRCT2 (using the original games) except for maybe the scenarios.
>>
>>12687365
Well it's that I noticed OpenRCT2 works on RCT2 files. Unless someone tried applying it on RC Classic?
>>
>>12687395
I believe you can use RCT Classic to install OpenRCT2.
>>
>>12687395
I believe you cannot use RCT Classic to install OpenRCT2
>>
>>12687365
Classic is just an all-in-one package that was made for mobile platforms. It's pretty much the same as having any other version with all expansions (deluxe, triple thrill pack)
>>
>>12687395
I believe RCT Classic is a game

Since we have pretty much filled up this map, would you guys like to run a smaller RCT1 map on Sunday? There are plenty of maps that we rarely play because they wouldn't last a weekend.
>>
>>12688950
I wouldn't be against it, there isn't much else to do in this one, what if we went for something like a one day run of Lightning Peaks or Sprightly Park with the rides and borders removed?
>>
>>12688950
maybe big pokey park with buying all the land around the roads and rights over the roads?
>>
>>12689062
Okay, but only if you don't do THAT again.
>>
>>12689068
>>12689068
>https://files.catbox.moe/emxj61.park
I modified it so all the land is either bought or has construction rights but has no additional rides or scenery items.

I just kinda wanna see what could be done in the leftover space since the land is quite big and dinky park is... not very.

Thanks. I was worried that it was going to be too shitposty when I was building it but it turned out pretty good.

I added a log flume but didn't decorate around it if anyone else happens to want to. I had some stuff come up, but I was able to get the food court and stuff done before I left.

This park really Ruined Myaenus.
>>
Whoever built the new entrance plaza, God bless you. I severely cocked up when I flattened everything and couldn't work out what I was going to do with the space. Interesting choice to keep all the rides in the temporary locations. Feels like park now at least!

It's a small thing but I like the funky architecture of the glass and metal concession stand across the highway.

I don't fully understand the host's love for the RCT1 train cars. As soon as I got RCT2 as a child I couldn't really go back other than the soulful maps. The animations being choppier, overall less useful, and less faithful to the real life trains they are based on does me in. I'm sure it's a personal preference.

I like adding them so we have options. Dinky Park came with them because it is a RCT1 map overall, but I always add the RCT1 2-seat inverted coaster trains (looks cool), the classic stand-up (looks cool), the classic wooden coaster (shallow banked turns), classic mini (steep drops make it a completely different ride than junior coaster), and classic looping (looks really cool)
>>
>>12692468
I like that you keep them because sometimes I will arbitrarily chose to use them over the RCT2 ones.
>>
>>12692468
I wish the RCT2 PTC train sprites aligned themselves properly with the shallow banked turns. I wish you could use the shallow turns interchangeably in general.
OpenRCT2 has a long way to go to reach true perfection.
I should learn how to code.
>>
>>12693046
Good luck because it's literally physically impossible to do without rendering an entire new set of identical sprites
>>
>>12693180
I'm aware, but I can use Blender and Photoshop. C++ is my only hurdle
>>
If i could figure out how to do it I'd make a plugin to recreate the RCT3 auto-complete feature for coasters. I always liked using it to get a visual on how I could end the ride. Plugins are made with javascript correct?
>>
>>12693349
You keep saying this and I really need to point out that's a non-trivial algorithm as evidenced by, even in RCT3, it spazzing out. Tile based makes it easy in some ways and harder in others.
>>
>>12693489
That makes sense. I have a feeling it would be more complicated than just plugging in a few lines of code.
>>

A thing i'm working on, it's Lucky Lake but it's SPOOKY. I feel limited on the terrain palette though because i follow a similar palette a lot of the time
>>
>>12695843
this is where the bodies of all of the drowned guests go
>>
>>12693046
We already have a lot of the really big things I wanted, including stuff that I never expected. Large steep-to-level transitions for a bunch of coasters, dive loops, zero-G rolls, native cheats, 6-car 6-person wooden coaster trains, the list goes on. I have no doubt that incredible things are possible because I have already seen them come to life.
>>
>>12695843
Please include the flesh terrain and objects from a few weeks ago, that would be sick here
>>
>>12695843
Do you want more time to work on this? I had other map ideas for the weekend if so.
>>
>>12697284
I don't want to dominate the map selection, so if you guys want to play other stuff that's cool
>>
I'm about to make a workbench with all of our usual object files on it. Is there any custom objects or rides that you guys can't live without? I want to make sure I'm being thorough.
>>
>>12697618
I can't think of anything specific, but I like having as many path and terrain options as possible
>>
If nobody has a map idea yet what about Gravity Gardens from the original RCT2 scenario set with boundaries and rides removed?
>>
>>12698789
also more rides because it only has coasters, I forgot to mention that.
>>
>>12698789
is this the map?
>>
>>12698789
What about Geoffrey Gardens?
>>
>>12697938
I'll be sure to include all of the new Mold stuff. I want this workbench to be a plug-and-play landscape. Just load it up and generate terrain from there. No need to add objects.
>>
>>12699530
I'd be fine with that, either or

>>
>>12699671
The real-time nature of running a Rollercoaster Tycoon map is doing the work for us. I went to bed and the park earned $100k while I was away.
>>
>>12699660
If you build a coaster, and you dont make a loop interlocking with something, did you really build a coaster?
