Just started a playthrough today going in completely blind, so far it hasn't been as "difficult" as everybody keeps saying. I'm loving the job system, it's definitely not as fleshed out as 5 but it works surprisingly well when this is the only game at the time to have it. Only thing that confuses me is how the game gives you spells and weapons for classes you haven't even unlocked yet, I got the poison and cure spell while only having a black mage available.
>>12681437>Just started a playthrough today going in completely blindso did you make this thread with the hopes that I would spoil the rest of the game for you? Just play the game you social media addict.
>>12681448>so did you make this thread with the hopes that I would spoil the rest of the game for you? Just play the game you social media addict.I made this thread to discuss the game, why is this board so mentally handicapped anyway?
>>12681453>I made this thread to discuss the gameOh ok. The game gets hard at the end when you get to the crystal tower. When you enter the outer area you should fight through to the inner area because there you can save. From there you want to go down not up the crystal tower because at the bottom you can unlock the two ultimate classes the sage and the ninja and the good weapons. After that you can climb the tower but here you need to fight 9 bosses in a row without saving, the hardest being that two headed dragon who I unfortunately cant remember how to beat.
>>12681469Thanks anon I'll keep that in mind.
>>12681437>Only thing that confuses me is how the game gives you spells and weapons for classes you haven't even unlocked yet, I got the poison and cure spell while only having a black mage available. Are you larping about actually playing the game? Venom is a second-circle Black spell and you get the Black Mage, White Mage, and 3 other classes at the exact same time.
>>12681501>VenomI was talking about the spell that CURES poison, not inflicts it.
>>12681503> I was talking about the spell that CURES poison, not inflicts it.Ok, depending on translation that's usually Pure or Poisona, which is a first-circle White spell, like Cure. That doesn't change the fact that you don't seem to know that you get most of the FF1 lineup at the same time. I don't know how it's possible to miss that. What are you even doing?
>>12681530The wind crystal only gave me a monk and black mage, nothing else.
>>12681534I cannot tell if you're fucking with me or the one being fucked with, but there is no official version of the game where that is the case.
>>12681542give me a second ill take a picture
>>12681542i think i'm retarded
>>12681636...at least that's sorted then. For my part, I'd suggest you invest in a Red Mage for a while just for the kickass gear they get early on. If I'm not mistaken, unlike FF 5, classes do not have permanent side-effects on your characters, like stat growth, so you should be able to experiment pretty easily. Make sure everyone has access to at least a couple of spells, just in case; they can be assigned irrespective of your current class. You'll be glad you did.
>>12681657I got this sword exclusive to the red mage before I did the first dungeon to save the princess so I'll try it out.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.I played it after finishing the PS1 FFs including the 1-2 versions on it and 3 was one of my favorites.People make a big deal about being forced to certain classes in specific parts but never found it that pervasive. And yeah most of the game's bad rep comes from having 2 back to back final dungeons and some parts like becoming a mini and having to go all mage which along being mini means you die easily if back attacked.Game has a decent amount of side content anf the world is huge.
Only played the DS remake but the last dungeon and boss were quite a jump in difficulty
