Is the closest to asuka 120 for x68000 in 1994 so is kinda weird that it took so much time to things older games already did.

There are way too many previous games that had a gameplay similar to third strike but is clear you never played them.
Playing ssf2 after playing asuka 120 is the worse since you realize how inferior is ssf2, is funny how even an eroge like variable geo has better gameplay then street fighter 2, ssf2 and the zero games but you won't know since you haven't grabbed a random game from other system and go "hey this game was released before and has better gameplay then sf zero or street fighter 3".

I suck at fighting games in general, but I like SFIII:3rd Strike for several reasons.

>easy fights against the CPU until Gill, so a quarter goes a long way on real arcade machines
>the parrying system fires up my dopamine system, you either block with a frame advantage or get fucked
>the usual shotos are good, I used to play Ken like everyone else, but now I prefer Ryu, Ryu is actually exciting to play, you either give big damage or get fucked, it's all about mastering the basics
>some weird characters are fun to play too, like Urien or Q
>the gameplay in general is very fluid, I remember not liking SF4 back then because it was the opposite of SF3:3S and SFA3, most characters felt very heavy
>I like to get my ass kicked by real players who know what they are doing, some Akuma players are mesmerizing
>the OST is fucking awesome, the best soundtrack of a fighting game ever, it actually feels like *street fighting*, I love the Necro & Twelve's stage track in particular, the drum n'bass and hip hop influences

Yeah I'm not a nerd shitposting on r/kappa who reached Platinum rank on SF6, whatever, but I enjoy SF3 more than let's say, KoF 96 or Samurai Showdown IV. It's a comfy game. I suck at it but I can still sandwich clueless normies with two Urien's super barriers and assert my dominance.
