Gran Turismo (1) runs faster, looks better, and plays better than 2.It also has a better soundtrack. We all convinced ourselves back in the day that 2 was better, but it wasn't at all
Even reviews at the time admitted it. All everyone wanted was the 1st but with more cars but they tried to push the ps1 too far and you get a polygon mess in some areas. The 3D rims were cool but its just another thing to take away from the polygon budget. I mainly liked it for the extra cars and some of the new tracks were massive but the little descriptions and upgrades were toned down from the first.
Factually, I know these games are Japanese, but for some reason they have always felt like PAL-kino to me. Like something from Psygnosis.
Can you drive the ultimate german shitbox in this game?Yeah... gone real quiet now huh?

When GT2 came out, my father went to do the weekly groceries shopping for once in his lifetime instead of my mother. Shop had a video game section. I had convinced him to buy the game but my sister was apparently appointed safeguard of the shopping but I still managed to get GT1 instead, which had a re-release 3 times cheaper than 2.I remember at school someone trying to mock me for getting 1 just when 2 comes out but another boy stepped in and said, so what, it's a great game, and the first guy shut up.Couple years later I finally got GT2 as well and I realized I had gotten the better deal all along so I still ended up playing it close to 100% completion. The PAL version of GT2 compared to the PAL version of GT1 is particularly bad, I think the 50hz conversion is worse but I'm no expert on this game's matter. Thanks for reading my blog
