Why can’t newer gamers handle older games?
>>
>>12682846
Newer gamers aren't used to consuming slop
>>
let's be honest a game demanding you beat it twice in a row is retarded
>>
Speaking as someone who would probably be considered a 'newer gamer' by some, I think it boils down to what a gamer starts out with. If you play newer games -- which have completely different game design philosophies -- for a majority of your life, than playing a older game may be a jarring experience.

This is just my take though, and I feel like if newer gamers gave enough older games a shot, then they would find a game for them.

Most older gamers couldn't handle that game, the Ghosts and Goblins series of games were always for masochists with a lot of time on their hands to die a thousand times in a 20min long game so they can memorize every movement they need to make because that is the bare minimum to beat these games.

pretty much and people pretty much always love and cling to what they grew up with, which is why so many "legendary" games are are little more than fleeting 20 minute experiences that no one who plays them today is going to make part of their personality

Friendly reminder that games are supposed to be fun.

Wrong answer

If you're so good, beat it again.

Making a game part of your personality is retarded
>>
>>12682846
They have too many options. When you have every game available to you for free there is less incentive to try and master older, more arcade style games. On the other side you also have speedtrannies who obsess so hard about mastering a game that they optimize the fun out of it.

Old gamer here, played this back in the day, the moment I felt the awful movement I went back to playing Mario, Sonic, Castlevania, etc
It was decades until the avgn video when I found out this piece of shit was "beloved"

Why can't iToddlers make good threads?

He said, posting one of the most unbalanced and sadistic games of all time. Each copy came with a polaroid of the dev team mooning you.
>>
>>12682861
Nah you're retarded. It's a consistency/endurance test, if you're content dropping the game halfway through, no one is "demanding" you to keep playing.
>>
>>12683353
I take it, you didn't see the "ending"
>>
>>12682846
They lack the skill set

I'm 26, which is about as zoomer as you can get.
I can safely say: modern vidya sucks and only uncs enjoy newish AAA releases.
zoomergettes are either slopmaxxing e-sport titles or escaping the microtransactional hellhole or nauseating modern hardware prices.

If you don't have a lot of disposable income, there's no reason to build a $5000 PC to play 1-2 yearly releases and basedpog at light rays bouncing off a table.

Cuts both ways, many unbalanced games have insane exploits lmao
Godhand is sadistic, but there's a couple of unbalanced tactics in your favor.

Shinobido is another one, some missions are nearly impossible to do stealthily, like assaulting carts and intercepting escorts. However, if you create a +999 knockout or explosive sphere, it's just a walk in the park.

This. The only kid I knew who could beat this game was the Chinese immigrant who beat everything.

It really depends on the game, also.
Some older games are legitimately awkward. Although modern physics engines can feel samey and boring, some older physics engines and control schemes are just weird. Can be really hard to get used to a jank ass game like picrel.

He's just a low IQ troll trying hard to frame his inane ideas in the most offensive way possible.
