>>12685521Yup. Junctions > levels so either draw magic (the pleb way) or card mod (the chad way) to up your stats. Not that you have to avoid leveling like some people insist. Whatever levels you gain just by normal progress are fine. Just don't make point of leveling up.Also be aware:>bosses and other such one-time encounters will often have a GF you can draw from them and if you miss it you have to play through like 90% of the game before you get another chance. So always check to see what you can draw during any rare encounter.>the skills GFs are set to learn by default are fucking useless unless you plan on spamming summons all game, which is the worst way to play. Learn magic refining skills first so you can get more powerful magic for your junctions. And learn the card ability ASAP because it unlocks card mod>they're not joking about saving your game before using the magic lamp, but once you've saved just to be safe you CAN use it as soon as you get it and get another really powerful GF early. I advise doing it because it can learns skills that let you adjust how often random battles happen

My smoothbrain thought refining was only for weapons, I didn't realize it was for magic. Be prepared for the game to repeatedly unequip all of your shit. No saving favourite setups either. Enjoy setting it all back up.
