Okay wtf is sonic doing on here. Did you have a stroke? Do not mention half life and sonic spinball in the same sentence.

Everything else is right though.
>>
>>12686853
Sonic 2's development was in America, as was spinball, however as >>12686819 said, it was just a bunch of Japanese people on work visas doing the actual programming, and US team drawing awkward graphics.
>>
PC Gamer UK magazine had far better taste in vidya than their US counterpart, I recall.

Not as influential as the US or UK, but the French deserve more recognition. The influence of Another World and Flashback can be felt in cinematic platformers like Oddworld and Ico. And Alone in the Dark set the template for survival horror in a much more significant way than Sweet Home did, despite what YouTubers might say.

Scraping the bottom of the shit barrel.

>American classic game
>"This is Chadd Assrender, he has a shotgun for a cock and you use the A-Z 0-9 F1-10 Ctrl Alt SysReq keys to fuck demons in front of their grandmother. There is no music unless you hook your IBM SCSI port up to a 1938 Gulbransen Autopiano"
>British classic game
>"This is Eggy Fattytoes. You've got to roll him down to the hill to get to the local pub. If you press the joystick button he makes a funny sound. You can collect mushrooms but watch out for the snake you can't see because of sprite flicker"

OI ME SPECCY!
>>
>>12686789
I'd say basically yes, it could compare, but I'm still glad to see British vidya get respected, too many people pretend they did nothing to speak of.

>>12686810
This list could be a lot better, some aren't even American.

>>12687587
It pains me that the biggest influence of French vidya today is nu-Ubisoft. I guess they were just as much victims to heavy corporatization like so many others.

>>12687686
Their scene atrophied, but given how the AAA scenes look these days in other countries in general, maybe much isn't missed.

I'd love to see some sort of serious AA industry revival, because I think Britain still has some potential to grow theirs back. Maybe.

Best you're getting are indies that take forever to make and the odd Two Point studios game.
