Not as influential as the US or UK, but the French deserve more recognition. The influence of Another World and Flashback can be felt in cinematic platformers like Oddworld and Ico. And Alone in the Dark set the template for survival horror in a much more significant way than Sweet Home did, despite what YouTubers might say.
