Azure Dreams, for the GBC. It's one of those old roguelikes where you go back down to level 1, but your gear and monsters don't. It's super easy to break at any point in the game, too, with monsters that just get to move twice forever, and monsters you can throw things at to get new items. But god, it's fun.
It's got some of the monster designs of all time, too.
>>12689947>>12689950Wtf this looks so much more cooler than the ps1 version
>>12689951It's wild there's a GBC and PS1 version, but I guess they were trying to follow in Dragon Warrior Monsters' footsteps? Honestly the GBC one is better, in my opinion. It's stupidly easy to break the game and get any items you want, too. There's a monster that, if you throw an item at it, turns it into any other item that can spawn on the floor you're on. You want a specific monster egg? Just keep throwing shit at it. You want the rare drops from the floor? Need a healing item or an escape item? Fuck it, just reroll the item.
Just finished Final Fantasy Legend III a couple weeks ago. Pretty cool and also easy to break. Now that I got a Saturn I'll play some of its unknown RPGs.Btw I really want to play both versions of Azure Dreams. I'm a huge Mystery Dungeon fan and love everything similar to it.
>>12689981You'll love Azure Dreams, then. Also the animation on the mc's in dungeon walking sprite is like, 20 full frames??? It's super fluid for the time.
>>12689947i just started chrono trigger. i dig how the combat is a little faster than standard turn based
>>12690097Honestly there's a reason it's so wildly praised. It really does deserve the praise it gets.
Megami TenseiI haven't played much these past weeks though.
