Yes, played both of them last year, solo. 1 is the best one, being able to keep playing even if some of the playable characters die is a really cool mechanic. 2 is more linear, and does away with that unique mechanic, but it's also worth a playthrough.
1 is like a 7.5/10 and 2 a 6.5/10, they're fun survival horror games.

genuinely one of the best horror games.
one day I was playing it on PC as a kid and near the end the Power Supply suddenly broke and made a big explosion sound and my heart almost stopped and thought it's from the game.
