I posted a retro gaming mystery a long time ago about the JB Harold Series of games.
This time I found another mystery regarding 鋼鉄帝国 Koutetsu Teikoku, Empire of Steel, or Steel Empire for the SEGA MD.
It's a fun game and has been rereleased a few times over the year, but a mystery still remains, what is the novel they are referencing here?
Who is Caar H. Schitch?
What other books could the game be referencing here?

Caar H. Schitch seems to be a fictional writer for this video game universe, although I'm not 100% sure because I've never played Steel Empire. If you ask me, it seems like a combination of Carl Sagan and Alfred Hitchcock. I don't think Hitchcock was an author though, but Sagan sure was. He also wrote about space and shit. Mystery solved.

I'm not convinced. Why not just claim the game was influenced by Ghibli instead, since a lot of it clearly was?

There's nothing here except for some classic art. Do we need the JP one?
