What are your favorite stealth games?
Chaos Theory
>>12693730Going to play this soon for the first time ever.>>12693748Probably played this on ps2 back in the days but I just found it too slow and cumbersome nowadays and just quit.
>>12693781>on ps2It's shite on PS2 and GC because the consoles were too weak to handle it and had to break down the levels in multiple parts, ruining the design in the process.>slow and cumbersomeYou won't like Thief then
>>12693786I misposted because I suppose I played it on ps2 back then but I tried it on pc later.I'm not going to list games I like but I can deal with games that require patience, ct just didn't click.
>>12693748Really hated this one compared to the first two. Not sure why. PT had the train and the airport. It felt like you were going on a grand adventure, not stepping into a comic book. Stylization doesn’t make sense in a stealth game. The point is to use your own knowledge and experience of the real world to inform your in-game actions. Stylization wrecks your ability to tie what you’re seeing to real life.
>>12693801I love CT but I do think PT is a bit underrated. I haven't played it in quite a while but I remember liking it as much as CT and I do appreciate the variety you get with stuff like the train level.
Sneak King
>>12693730Thief Gold and Splinner Cell: Chad's Theory
crazy how like half of being a stealth game fan in 2026 is just checking Thief Guild once every few weeks to see if any new FMs have come out
>>12693730Thief: The Dark Project
>>126937482 player coop in this was so kinoor whichever tom hancy title did that
>>12693748Hah!Took me few seconds to register it was Sam and now I remember why.Back at game's release there was a "twitter" like blog site that was ran by 'Sam' and he explained how his vest is purposefuly made to deform human silloute to slow the identification. He also answered bunch of questions such as how he got to where he is (Navy afaik), what's his take on MGS and other bullshit
What are some retro stealth games with disguised besides Hitman?
>>12693730
>>12694587Death to Spies
What do you guys think of Thief 2? I love the original, but I've yet to play the sequel. I've heard people say it's better but I mostly hear people talk about The Dark Project, so I'm not sure if that's actually true. One thing I was never too big a fan of in The Dark Project is the more exploration focused missions with fewer human enemies and I heard Thief 2 doesn't have as many of those, is that true?
>>12695397The Metal Age is a more consistent experience overall, it doesn't quite hit Thief Gold's highs but it never gets as bad as its lows eitherand yeah T2 focuses much more on the human stealth, there are a few monster/robot centric missions but they're overall a smaller percentage of the runtime than in TGthe majority of FMs are based on T2 as well
My favorite stealth game is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
