I just love the original Mega man, call it jank all you want but it's very well balanced and the challenge is very reasonable considering the sea of Nintendo hard games that existed around this time. Of course you'll get shitter contrarians who say MM1 is a terribly designed and janky game but gargle the balls of MM3 but you can't win 'em all.
>>12693785It's definitely one of my favorites. I just need to figure out how to fight fire man. Without the pause glitch I can get to Wily, but I lose too much hp on the boss refights thanks to fire man.
>>12693790The gauntlet version of him? Stay behind him a few inches and use the ice weapon, rinse and repeat.
>>12693785>call it jank all you wantWell it is jank. It's absolutely undeniably jank. I do not understand how you can be a fan of Mega Man 1 and deny that.>Of course you'll get shitter contrarians who say MM1 is a terribly designed and janky It's objectively both of those things, and so is MM3.
>>12693946>Well it is jank. It's absolutely undeniably jank. I do not understand how you can be a fan of Mega Man 1 and deny that.It isn't as janky as the games that came after it, 2 is worse.>It's objectively both of those things, and so is MM3.If it objectively is you wouldn't have a hard time including a reason besides just saying it is.
>>12693956>It isn't as janky as the games that came after itBro.https://youtu.be/YKVNOXSAMj4
>>12693965>a speedrun videocome on, low hanging fruit.
>>12693984Nigga you can clip around the screen by doing ordinary basic stuff, not even using an item. The collision when you play the game ordinarily is completely fucked. Come on.
>>12694009This is a glitch that literally no normal player is going to do, none of these have ever happened to me throughout the hundreds of times I have played this game.
>>12694013>none of these have ever happened to meAre you a woman? "It didn't happen to me therefore it never happens"?
>>12693956MM2's jank cannot instakill you.
>>12693965>>12694015kek, this looks like one of those glitches that can only be discovered by literally reverse engineering the game or some deranged shit like that. You could have chosen so many other genuine jank moments normal players can casually stumble across, yet you're holding on to this weird niche glitch.
>>12694015I have been playing this game since before you were born, and the glitch you posted has to be intentionally done because no normal person is doing that.
>>12694017>mm yes the sprite flickering when i fight this dragon can make me not be able to see myself and cause me to fall and die and have to do this platforming section all over again
>>12694023anti-mm1 contrarians usually can't reasonably point out a flaw in the game besides the fact they suck so they need to resort to some speedtranny video to try and say "hey look this game is actually really broken and bad!!"
>>12694027That's not jank instakilling you, but jank enabling you to suicide a little more easily by playing carelessly. Not the same thing as glitchy platforms at Ice Man's and Wily 1.
>>12694034>its actually a hidden intentional game mechanic to make you kill yourselflow effort bait
>>12694040>>its actually a hidden intentional game mechanicNobody said that. Meds.
>>12694023>>12694026You're awfully defensive over something incredibly minor.
>>12694023>>12694026>posts video of a glitch happening>anon BSODs, "no, that glitch doesn't happen, that glitch doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, that glitch isn't real"Cope harder
>>12694053>that glitch doesn't happenWho said that? So many schizos itt
>>12694053that isn't remotely what i said, retard.>>12694049why are you trying so hard to act like something you need to intentionally do is somehow an example of jank? yknow its against the rules to be underaged on this site, anon.
>>12694064>why are you trying so hard to act like something you need to intentionally do is somehow an example of jank?Because it is. Teleporting around the screen randomly because you got off a ladder the wrong way is jank. It's indisputable jank.
>>12694013>This is a glitch that literally no normal player is going to do>none of these have ever happened to me>no normal person is doing that>that isn't remotely what i saidCope even harder
MM1 has the most balanced weapons distribution in the entire series. Only Gutsman is a bit useless due to being entirely situational. Everything else is well balanced with no clear OP weapon and plenty of uses for everything. But that's not what retards want. They want one OP weapon that you can acquire easily at the start of the game and then everything else be useless and simply bounce off enemies every time you try to use them. You know, like in the so called "best Mega Man game".
>>12693965On the bright side of things, using a speedrun as an argument isn't the most retarded thing you could do. You could be one of those people that uses "longplays" without realizing that they are TASes.
>>12693785MM1 and X1 are still my favorites out of each series. They felt fairly balanced and simple in a good way. They also seem the most memorable for whatever reason, I thought it might just be from them being the first game in each series but I also played Mega Man & Bass and don't really remember much about it.
>>12694090>none of what I said even proves I said thatyou're one delusional schizo retard, aren't you?
I only enjoyed playing X4 as ZeroMM ranged gameplay is ass
>>12694225>no clear OP weapon
>>12694023It's the equivalent of people saying Pokemon Red and Blue are "sooooo buggy" and then posting a bunch of shit nobody would ever do or encounter on a normal playthrough.Like, just bitch about the moving platforms and move on.
>>12693785Idk man I like to shoot UP sometimes.
It's not my favorite but I do appreciate how well it introduces the main gimmick of the series: the boss weapon/weakness order. Just a single straightforward cycle and every weakness makes sense. Overall I like MM2's more because of how chaotic it is but it would have been terrible to do that in the first game. MM3's is decent with throwing a break in the cycle and creating two cycles that aren't even the same size. But the rest of the series kinda sucks with it, just a single cycle so there's no curve ball yet the weaknesses are arbitrary since the themes are so out there by the later games, so it's not as satisfying when you get the right weapon, feels like a lucky guess.
>>12695632>the weaknesses are arbitraryNo, they still make sense throughout the entire series.
