The perfect cartridge design.>right angle end label>majority of front side is dedicated to cartridge art>sides of front side are ample for gripping and keeping digits away from the sticker>perfect size, sleek and nice fit>back side uses industry standard seals and only two of them>no pointless latching teeth>no excess amount of screws>interior slots PCB to fit only one way, else it can't be closed>two halves separate neatly with cosmetics like the sticker remaining only on one end>roomy interior givves space for expansion or budget PCBs>no excessive shielding or low quality plastics prone to yellowing>extremely durable>no gaudry greebling that gets caked in dirt or distracts from the cartridge label artNothing comes close.
>>12706190what, you don't want a neo geo cart that's the size of an encyclopedia?
>>12706190I have absolutely no idea how to play this fucking game and I’ve tried on several occasions.
>>12706219It's fun, steal stuff and escape and don't get caught.
>>12706190>The perfect cartridge design. One major problem, however:>No room for expansion chipsWhich is the reason why the one and only Genesis game which featured an expansion chip comes in a cartridge with a radically different form factor.
>>12706190I agree with everything you are laying down but...>conLabel gets worn from pulling game in and out of console. That is where the NES cart is superior as it has a dedicated grip indication included. >>12706219>absolutely no idea how to play this fucking game and I’ve tried on several occasionsIt really is a fun game. One of the first I had when me and my brother were gifted a Genesis for Christmas. Try again and if you can play co-op. Basically hide, shoot, steal, and run in that order.
>>12706601but you *can* pull the cart out with three fingers on each corner
>>12706752Sure but who does? Also many of the Genesis games I have picked up over the years were owned by kids who didn't care or rentals which people REALLY didn't care kek
>>12706190You forgot that dimple on back to make it easier to grab the cart.my favourite cartridge design.
>Game name isn't on the front of the cartridgeThis bothers me, like "Oh yeah, can't wait to play one of my favorite Genesis games, 2 guys in the checker void... oh, it's Bonanza Bros?"
Ultimate design would be HuCards in Famicom Disk System like cases with a lil manual.
>>12706190It really is the perfect cartridge design, isn't it? That said, which is the second best? My vote is for N64 cartridges.
>>12707853>comes in a cardboard box>no end labeltrash-tier
>>12706190>The perfect cartridge design.Except, as others have noted, the way you're required to hold it tends to create excessive wear on the label which will damage it over time.Atari Jaguar cartridges avoid this issue in their design by having a handle on the top of the cart which gives you something to grab onto when inserting or removing it from the system, so you don't have to touch the label area.
>>12706190HuCard was perfect>One overmolded, monolithic piece>Art printed onOK, well maybe not perfect since you have no access to the PCB to repair it or replace it if it gets damaged (like wearing the pins out) but the art was actually printed on. None of this paper sticker crap that can get wet or damaged easily.
