Nobody called it SNES during the 90s. It's the Super Nintendo.
I remember this fag Nick at school called it the Superness, like super nes
I’m 38 and you’re wrong.
>>12706602I don it even remember where I first heard it pronounced as snezz, I didn’t have any friends and only spoke to my parents as a kid so it must have been from them
I'm 47 and you're right
I’m 69 and 420.
We’ve really run out of things to talk about, huh?
>>12706649They need to allow 7th gen asap
>>127066596th gen should be banned again
Nobody called it World War I in the 1920s. It's the Great War.
>>12706665>Nobody called it World War IThe masters of humanity/jews did.
>>12706602ah yas. the USA clone of Super Famicom.
>>12706602During the 90s I never knew that ugly yank box existed. We either had the Snezz, or an imported Japanese Snezz.
This is an American website. Please leave.
>>12706736luv'd me snezzy (I actually did)
>>12706665It wasn't called "World War I", but it was often called the First World War.
>>12706736250,000 bri’ish girls RAPED and yet you OBSESS over Americans lmao
>>12706602people were saying SNES at least as early as 95
>>12706602I did. Several other people I know did. Additionally, I don't see what the point you're making is supposed to be. What people called it in the 90s is no more or less valid than what people call it now. Shit thread.
>>12706763Video games? You unhinged melt.
>>12706767what do you get from lying on an anonymous imageboard
>>12706602Everyone called "la super" or "el cerebro de la bestia"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6pFqMQN2bo
>>12706779Couldn't tell you because i'm not lying.
>>12706665Actually it's called WWX because that's what magazines at the time called it.
>>12706865
>>12706602Wrong. I called it the ES-EN-E-ES. I never had SNESSSSSSSSSSS in my fucking life.
>>12706921>Wrong. I called it the ES-EN-E-EScuz you're a fucking zoomer that's why
>>12706967No I'm not you fucking yuro fucking faggot zoomer
>>12706996>no uChildish behaviour.
>>12706660that would improve the board a lot. >>12706616I'm 47 and OP is right, but also a faggot because the textual term "SNES" is read aloud as "Super Nintendo."
>>12707003>no ur the zoomerChildish behaviour.
>>12706865lmao
>>12706602We called it Super NES
>>12706602Nobody played it during the 90s.Nintendies BTFO
>>12706602Youkay here, people called it a snez, but most people I knew had a Mega Drive or stuck with the Master System until the Playstation came out
>>12706773You brought up Americans unprompted and now you wanna cry like a bitch? Fuck you pussy, this is OUR website. Your own government would lock you up for posting here.
Nobody called it Gayga Shitturn in the 90s. However, this is primarily how this console is referred to as today. See where I'm going with this?
>>12706754Kind of ominous, like they wanted more world wars after it.
>>12706763UP THOSE NUMBERS, MOHAMMAD
People called it>Nintendo>Super Nintendo>S.N.E.S. (not sness)Never heard Sness in my life until I saw some yuroids online say it in a vid. I was born in the late 1980s and I've been having sex since the early 00s so don't even try to contradict me faggot.
It was always Super Nintendo growing up. These days I'm more likely to say it as SNES with an s at the end. Snez Sayers are fucked up.
>>12706602People started calling it the SNES when they started typing.
>>12706602We called it the "Big Nintendo" since a lot of us also owned the NES, which we called a Nintendo too.
>>12707119>I've been having sexFake gamer. Opinion immediately discarded.
>>12707206Seethe zoomer. Oldschool nerds were built different. We had more testosterone in your pinky finger than you have in your entire hormonal treatment session. I fucked pristine goth girls that didn't have tats and basically you're a faggot.
>>12706602I called it the "Super NES", like any white, God-fearing, authentic American did at the time.
Super Nintendo and Regular Nintendo. Simple as.
>>12707214Oldschool nerds were the nerds that became stereotypes in later times. Fake gamer. Fake nerd.
>>12706602The Super NES. Get it right or pay the price.
>>12707247Nintendo was so huge, basically everything was called a "Nintendo", before that video games would simply be called an "Atari". It wasn't uncommon to hear the NES called an "Atari" earlu in it's life or to hear the Genesis called a "Nintendo" or "Sega Nintendo". It wasn't until gen 5 that you heard things being called their proper name universally.
>>12707204It was "Super Nintendo" and "Regular Nintendo" here.
>>12706602I think they did in the UK back then right? I'm 40 and I only remember people calling it the Super Nintendo and I never heard Snezz used until YouTube.
>>12707402This
>>12707357People were called the N64 the "Nintendo 3D" and "Ultra Nintendo" well into the 5th gen.
you just said >let's go play GAME NAMEnot>CONSOLE (like a retard)
>>12707247This. When spoken aloud (as was the style at the time) it's weird to use the acronym. Old/Regular Nintendo and Super Nintendo.
>>12707494People called it a Playstation. There was "Atari," which meant any single screen games, and then "Nintendo," which has already been well covered ITT, but when laypeople got used to the idea of 3D games, they called them Playstation (and yes, sometimes "Nintendo Playstation"). To moms, a "play station" sounds like it must be the generic name for a video game console.
We called it the Nintendo or N E SWe called it the Super Nintendo or S N E SWe called it the Sega or GenesisWe called it the SaturnWe called it the Playstation and it was commonly abbreviated as the PSX in ads and magsWe called it the N 64We called it the PS2
>>12707680didn't ask
>>12707685don't care
>12707680>We called it the N 64Wrong.
>>12707680Onezz (pronounced oh-nezz for the original NES) or snezz is what we called it. N64 was just N64 or Nintendo 64.
>>12707989No offense but I would put you down like a rabid dog
NintendoSuper Nintendo 64>t. Mootxican
>>12706602SUPER NINTENDOSEGA GENESIS
>>12707119Born in 85 and yep people said Super Nintendo or said the acronym S N E S. Also referred to the NES as regular Nintendo after the Super Nintendo came out. Pronouncing the acronym as a word never even occured to me till I saw someone on YouTube say it once that became a thing. And even then pronouncing it with a Z sound at the end still was bizarre to me.
>>12706602Person born 20 years before you here, genuine talented accomplished individual. We called it-----"the ESS-NES". Two syllables. That is all, you unemployed/wagie millenizoomer toddlers may continue with whatever fiddlefaddle you're getting up to.
I actually do want every single dumb fucking underage faggot that calls consoles by some kind of retarded numeric generation to get hit by a car thobeitliterally no one ever fucking talked like thatwe played atari, we played nes, we played snes, we played genesis, we played playstation, we played ps2, we played xbox, we played dreamcast, not one single human being ever said something as stupid as "bOy i sUrE dO lOve aLl tHeSe 6tH gEn cOnsOlEs"
>>12708132Yeah the console generation shit wasn't a thing until the internet retro gaming boom happened and then everyone started using the generation stuff
>>12707402this, and we'd just shorten it to "regular" and "super" because no one had a sega
it literally doesn't matter because we call it the snes now
>>12706659This but unironically.
We had a Master System (Sega Base System) but nobody ever called it the Master System, we just called it a Sega and when the Genesis came out, we would call it a Super Sega because called the Genesis a "Sega" because nobody had a Master System. Otherwise it would just get too confusing.
Did any of you refer to the "Nintendo 64" by its proper name, 64?
it literally doesn't matter because we call it the 67 now
>>12708208>Entertainment System by Nintendo>Entertainment System by Super Nintendo>64 by Nintendo
>>12708218STFU. "Nintendo" meant "multi screen game console" well into the 90s. We would call the PSX a Nintendo FFS.
>>12708218this is the way
>>12706602I lick snez
>>12706602My mother called every game console we a had a Nintendo.Even the PS3.
>>12706602>It's the Super Nintendo.Real gamers referred to it by its full name: The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Trademark Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on March 18, 1991 by Nintendo of America Inc. located at 4600 150th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052, The United States of America, Earth.
>>12706602I've never heard anyone call it a snes in real life. It's mostly just a lazy way that people say it online.
>NES: Nintendo>Genesis: Sega>SNES: SuperSimple as
>>12707119>I was born in the late 1980s and I've been having sex since the early 00sSame and this is exactly right. If you're not American we don't care what you called it.
