I refuse to believe this is as bad the reviews claim
since modern games like to race swap characters in remakes, i wanna see white Blade in remake as well, it's only fair, right?
Just play the fucking game and find out you stupid retard.
>>12710312I'm waiting for /vr/'s opinion since they know better than pro reviewers from 2000
>>12710338pro reviewers said symphony of the night was also bad, so that should give you some pointers. Think of mainstream reviews as ratings on RYM. The less score something has, the more likely it's really good
>>12710265It's pretty fun, I just think it has the issue of being a little stiff at times and switching weapons can be a bit slow.>>12710309Blade is one of the coolest black characters in media, race swap someone gay and annoying instead.
>>12710397>Blade is one of the coolest black characters in media

old third person view shooter games are unbearable it is impossible to enjoy them
For me it's Blade on PS2 (Which was only possible due to the Bladestation 2)
>>12710265I love this game its actually amazing and alot of fun desu man. Legitimate childhood favorite i still play
>>12710460Cope
>>12710479It can be done if you try
>>12710481Prepare yourself..for Blade 2 powered by the Xblade.
>>12710513Oooooh, so that's why this was called "Blades"
>>12710529A clever reference to the sharpened metal rod being held by Wesley Snipes. Xbox has had Snipesian roots for some time.
>>12710309Obsessed
>>12710489I reached a warehouse with a fork, on the right it lead to a ship but it didn't look like you could backtrack from it so I reloaded my save, went to the left and got to an office where I found the shotgun. Now I'm out of the office, fought a boss and can't backtrack either. Anything important I missed on that boat?
>>12710265The shooting system with the timed headshots is so fucking satisfyingBut sadly the game is piss easy to break, you can just keep mashing most enemies with your sword before they can get up.
The secret here is to play the GBC version.
always bet on blade
>>12710309Anon advocates for race swapping main characters now?
>>12710338I played it a lot as a kid, solid 7/10. It would've been higher were not for that sewer section I couldn't get out of for like 30min until I figured it out. Also the music is bretty gud.
>>12710309Even a different black actor would feel blasphemous. Wesley Snipes is literally Blade, period.
>>12710554You get the shotgun also and fight the boss in a bigger room. There is also a glyph and a few floors to explore. There's also more vampires on the ship and less zombies than the office path. Next time you play go the other way. There is another thing like this later on in the game also. Interesting stuff. I prefer going the boat way personally. Also it changes the cutscene blade has with Whistler post leaving. Nothing major. Instead of blade saying he went to the office to see the shipping manifest. He says like I checked the ship for any clues.
>>12710481>>12710513Is this game any good? I had a ton of fun back in the day w the Blade Max Payne mod on PC.
>>12710309>>12710973Did you guys know that Wesley Snipes is a real martial artist? I had no idea. Supposedly he was supposed to fight Joe Rogan KEK
>>12710343>pro reviewers said symphony of the night was also badOnly one bong magazine.

>>12711237Its not as good as the first one and has a weird mechanic where you have to use rhe second joystick to fight instead of buttons. And the sword can only be used as like a type of special but its fun none the less. The first game is alot better
>>12710265I completely forgotten that this game existed. I do not even remember what it looked like. I do remember the movie being very popular back then though.
So this is actually pretty good, at least when playing with PGXP and overclocking. Between the headshots and different ammo there is enough skill and strategy involved for a game of this type. The only caveats are the fact that moving while shooting fucks with the aiming too much and that level design isn't always good. So far I'd rate this higher than Duke Nukem Land of the Babes a game in the same genre from the same period, it seems that most reviews didn't give this game a chance on account of being licensed.
>>12710596>The shooting system with the timed headshots is so fucking satisfyingI forgot to mention this, yes. This is really satisfying.
>>12711292Interesting. Sounds like a weird control scheme for the time as this sort of game had been kind of figured out by this gen w things like DMC, Rygar, and GoW
>>12710460kek
I've beaten it now and as I said I'd rate it above Land of the Babes but also Tomorrow Never Endings on account of being more original than those and being much longer than those. The only downsides are bosses which are kinda shit; the fact that the game doesn't really challenge you anymore once you figured out the best methods againt each enemy type; and as a small nitpick it's a missed opportunity how the bladed boomerang is fired from a weapon. Who wouldn't have wanted to throw that as a boomerang like in the movies intro?
>>12714925>Tomorrow Never Endings I mean 007: Tomorrow Never Dies, aka Syphon Filter at Home and Under 2 Hours Edition
>>12711252>Did you guys know that Wesley Snipes is a real martial artist? I had no idea. Were you ice-skating niggers all born yesterday?
>>12714925At least visual looks OK.
>>12714925>Who wouldn't have wanted to throw that as a boomerang like in the movies intro?Controlling it while it's flying around with a close up view like in PSX Xena would have been awesome considering that thing seemed to have a mind of its own in the movie
How far we've come.
>>12717061That looks awful
