I frequent retro game stores and I don't think I've ever seen a single Saturn or a Saturn game there, especially compared to the Genesis and the Dreamcast.

I was the only person I knew with a Saturn, a TurboGrafx (I had Express; my brother had an import PC Engine with CD), Lynx or CDi. I knew one other kid with a Neo Geo and one other kid with a Game Gear. I knew kids with Sega CD but I was the only one I knew who had a CDX. I've never known anyone to own a 3DO or Jaguar. I've never even seen either in stores. FiveI and three of my friends had copies of Earthbound.My childhood proximity to vidya is atypical to say the least.

There's a theory that Sega Saturn is actually an oniric console that manifestated unto reality in a non-sequential time-space manner. It's kind of like a Mandela effect of video game consoles.I do remember the Saturn from my childhood, but I am also not from this timeline.

I had one, it sucked. The NA selection in my area was horrible for the entire run, you could only get anything good through expensive catalog order and it took forever. Took me months to get virtua cop and a stunner.I should've learned from the 32X I returned but strongly believed Sega had to come through eventually (Dreamcast was good at least)Ultimately it fell off my table onto a plugged in controller and died, I felt nothing.Also the controller wasn't 'amazing' like some people claim, it was a regular Genesis controller with ugly polygonal edges that were uncomfortable and dug into your hands during long play sessions.The system menu was cool?

Was not a thing in the UK. We had the mega drive then everyone got a ps1/some got n64 and forgot Sega existed. I did see ONE kid with a Dreamcast later on but it was a real novelty.
