Bad marketing aside (generic name, generic characters, and key art that makes it look like a sci fi horror game) this is really fun.Explore free roaming mid-sized cities, climbing on buildings and jumping from rooftop to rooftop, arrest some bad guys, kill some others, find sidequests and hidden bonuses; plus the occasional driving mission. I'm getting filtered by the sudden difficulty spike in the auto destruct mission, the one that starts with two car bombs you have to drive to safety. The problem is all the thugs you have to handle after that with little healing to be found in the level. I'm currently replaying older levels to grind and increase my stats to give myself a fighting chance, thankfully it looks like you can pick up the same power ups you had already peaked up as long as you complete the mission again. If you enjoyed exploring the city in Silent Hill, fire up the PSX version of this, for the exploration alone it is worth it. Remember, later missions take place in other areas too; it's not just the area you see in the first few missions.
>>12714913>PSX versionNo.
I was enjoying this game before it became too repetitive and samey. I never finished it.
>>12714913Max payne if he had friends that didnt die every 2 seconds.
>>12716307It's a bit repetitive but I think the varied objectives and more importantly the varied environments are enough to keep me entertained. It never gets old to keep climbing rooftops sky high to find bonuses hidden at the top.My only real issues with the game so far is how long missions can be with no checkpoints, especially when dying to stupid shit like getting crushed by an elevator (only one level with an elevator and it's a stupid setup) or Rupert the AI partner getting killed because he jumped into an explosion; or jumping on a cable to slide down it only to fall and die at the end of end because the devs actually didn't think that one through. How to improve the game>stat+ bonuses shouldn't respawn>but the game should keep in memory which one you acquired even if you die after picking it up and the world map would tell you which ones you missed>some of the longer multi objective missions should have checkpoints
>>12714913The tank control made me drop it back in 2000. If my old 12yo couldn't get into its tank control, I am sure I am unable to play it nowadays.
>>12717271The tank controls didn't make me stop playing but I couldn't even pass the tutorial because my keyboard wouldn't recognize the keystrokes fast enough to execute the takedown combos and I couldn't get a gamepad to work with it. Disappointing.
I've only played pic related and remember it being pretty fun, though I never finished it.
>>12717276Superior Urban Chaos cop game for sure, but both are worth playing>>12717275emulate the DC or PSX version then
