I like to zone with Cyclops' Optic Blast, but Beast can feel really good to play at a high level. I never use Psylocke and Gambit after their stages though.

Cyclops because he has a projectile that can be used while jumped or crouched.

Beast was the worst because his jump + down attack would rebound off the enemy, which only ever worked against a single boss and would get you killed against the rest. His attacks also suck and he doesn't have an attack to run through an enemy (for better positioning), which everyone else does, even Cyclops.

Also, Psylocke's final stage is one of the hardest. There are some motherfuckers firing at her from offscreen and she only has one move that can knock down Exodus out of his grab attack.

Fight me.

That's because this game is a weird mishmash of the first two Infinity Gems sagas, Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity War.
In Infinity War, the Magus creates a bunch of evil doppelgangers of the heroes. Although the final battle in the game is against Thanos, you fight characters (like Magus) that were never part of Infinity Gauntlet.

So at least for once, this actually came from the comics themselves.

Everyone had their strengths and unique feel. I remember hating beast cause that kick he does where he flips backwards after always got me hit.

Psylocke kind of sucks, she has like a bunch of shitty versions of the other characters attacks that leave her way more vulnerable than theirs do
