The most underrated 6th-generation console. It had loads of underappreciated first parties and multiplats despite its weak commercial performance, occasionally swinging games like Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness and Killer7 against first-party support like Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime!
>>12723649i agree! Gamecube was great
>>12723649Cool color and nice set I like it.
>>12723649this shit was obscenely overrated, can't you just accept that less people had the damn thing and you primarily used it for super smash bros
>>12723649It is special to those that gave it a chance. While I was not there for its launch, I was there later when it was cost reduced and bundled with the Gameboy Player. At a time when I had quit video games, the Gamecube brought me back thanks to its low price and very affordably cheap games. And it was just great multiplayer, so it is beloved by my group of friends too. Even though it was not as popular, I agree that it doesn't matter due to the great times you have with the system.
>>12723649How exactly is the gamecube underrated? Especially when the dreamcast and xbox exist? Looking at the retro market Id argue the cube is the single most overrated console of its generation and possibly ever despite it being a failure, having a forgettable library and having one of the worst controllers of all time
its rated appropriately. it was worth the $100 i paid
>>12724753what's up with those controllers? i like them in theory but there are no analog sticks?
>>12726123They're designed for the Gameboy Player, so they don't have the analog sticks. Similar to the controller Hori designed for the Super GameBoy on the SNES, it was purposely made for it. I do prefer the larger d-pad. Stock controllers and Wavebirds work well enough for the Gamecube analog needs, but there's a lot of custom independent work for new Gamecube controllers. For one, the GC Ultimate 2 Controller is now down to PCB assembly+testing and the injection molded parts (and packaging), which I am looking forward to give a try.
