What was it like to play Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time in 1992?
>>12724828fuck off spammer
>>12724828Honestly the main thing that made an impression on me was the sound. It was so crisp and biting. The sound of the rings, the jump sound effects, the music of course. It was a big difference compared to fuzzy soft sounding NES games I was used to.
People forget that the original 1992 release wasn't actually a video game, but a physical board game shipped with real metal rings that you had to wear on your fingers. Sega actually lost millions because players kept accidentally swallowing the Blue Blur plushie.
>>12724828I'm...not entirely sure
>>12724828Probably not as amazing as it would've been in 1991 when it came out
It was one of my first games, there's a video of me getting the game for christmas at 5 years old, I was quite captivated, my dad made me watch the demo first to "learn how to play" and then once I started I said I'm "going to play this every day"
