I turned 26 yesterday and wanna treat myself to a little something Should I buy Castlevania 2 and 3? I already own 1 for my NES. Or should I just buy an Everdrive? I'm not a huge collector, I just want to own games I really like, like Castlevania and Silent Hill And yes I am actually debating spending 200$ on a copy of silent hill 1. I already own 2 and 3, and when I'm 40 and the fucker is worth $2,000 I'm gonna regret never completing the trilogy. I got lucky and bought 2 and 3 in 2015 for $30 each
>>12725548Happy birthday. I recommend buying Castlevania 2 because it's different from 1. Get 3 later if you still want more.
>>12725548Good lord if you're too dumb to emulate at least buy the classic collection for a reasonable price
3 is more fun than 2 in my opinion. 2 kinda sucks, it's a totally different game.
>>12725616I want to play them on my CRT and with the original NES controller :)I want the original intended experience. >>12725610>>12725624Worst part is, I owned 3 years ago andmy dad threw it out.ty for the birthday wishes.I know 2 is reallt different, but it seems pretty innovative for a NES game with ira day/night cycle, shops, talkable characters, etc.
>>12725548>should I just buy an Everdrive?This.>cv2 or cv3?If you must buy one I would absolutely pick up cv3. Its one of the best NES games ever made.
>>12725645>I know 2 is reallt different, but it seems pretty innovative for a NES game with ira day/night cycle, shops, talkable characters, etc. It's a cool game. I played it for the first time this year and liked it.
>>12725548Real question how does anyone get back into old games again after 30? I just sit there playing for like 5 min and get bored.
>>12726812Why force it?
>>12725548Everdrive or just get a mister type device like superstation one that plays everything and has analog output. CV2 sux
>should I buy one game or the means to play both?
>>12726812Just by fucking playing them dumbassThat's your problem
>>12726870Well, its just that an everdrive is nearly 200$ while Castlevania 2 is just 20$
>>12726972the chink everdrive I bought for my NES was $40
>buying games you can play for free via emulation
>>12727956some people like owning physical copies
>>12727958>download a rom>burn it to a disc>'there you own a physical copy"
>look mom I posted it againThis board is fucking finished.
>>12727961uhhh you need a cart burner for NES games
>>12727950Enjoy it breaking on
>>12726812>I just sit there playing for like 5 min and get boredThen you're only trying to play them for the nostalgia and don't actually like retro games
