Has anyone gotten SuperStation One's console mode to work on a CRT?
>>
I have but I'm actually reinstalling the default mister ui right now because I wasn't a big fan of it
It's probably just because of my personal tastes but it felt like an extra layer of bloat that I wont end up really using much. I got comfortable with the old ui and know how to navigate my way around it even if it looks retarded
>>
Casual reminder that SuperStation One has a 100% fail rate due to heating issues and should be avoided. It is remarkable that the greed SSO shills have has overtaken common sense.
>>
Alright so do these things overheat or no?
>>
>>12727758
No there isn't a single documented case of one over heating and I've been using mine for months without issues
>>
>>12727728
the altera chip in the SS1 has a higher heat rating than the one in the de10
>>

I havent even gooten my batch 4 ss1 nor a shipping email. when I bought this thing I was fully expecting it to sit in my closet for over a year before finding a crt for it (already got an hdmi only mister) but I lucked out on the crt and now I'm waiting for this

They arent supposed to if you use them normally. However there are a few cores that run out of spec and can overheat your unit like the 100mhz n64 core. If you want more stability for the saturn core you can overclock your ram which will also require extra cooling.
>>
>>12727758
It's one guy making up 200 posts about it for some reason.
>>
>>12728230
it's probably the same guy as the mister schizo.
>>
I hope they do overheat
>buy one on ebay for 50 bucks
>throw the shell away and put on some heat sincs and fans
ez money
>>
>>12728218
How do you overclock your ram?
>>
>>12728316

What do you have against good things?
>>
>>12727758
the chip they use is an industrial model that is tolerant to high heat.
>>
>>12727728
what could be behind this anon's one man smear campaign against this product?
>>
>>12728336
it would be a core option
>>
>>12728485
could be schizo, could be one of the many mister merchants who were drastically overcharging for mister parts and accessories upset they can no longer charge $90 for a ram module because Taki sells them for $20
>>
>>12728552
So in the Saturn cores options?
>>
>>12728474
It's only a slight difference in max operating temp. It doesn't matter in general
Overheating is a meme from a schizo
>>
>>12728552
Haven't done it myself but I've seen a script floating around. There's also a way to overclock the arm cpu in it as well,, that doesn't really affect performance though.

>have a mister already
>fucking hate its physical design and the fact that I need to either use an external switch or deal with the fact that I need to physically remove the power cable to turn it off
>Taki makes this shit
>Fixes my main gripe
>Replaces SNAC ports with retarded PSX ports though on a device that can do so much more
>Pointless memory card slot as if you're going to be switching between a real PSX and a mister, again catering towards one console
I just want a better form factor MiSTer that can be turned on/off physically.
>>
>>12728230
because it might be true?
