croc was the first game for ps1 i ever got and i was very upset cause i said this is a nintendo game disguised as a playstation game
>>
>>12726384
What does that even mean?
>>
it was a buggy pos that everyone hated back then btw
>>
>>12726384
that's because it was stolen from miyamoto
>>
>>12726413
Nah. It was one of the first games I ever played, Croc is cool. The level design and the art are really great.
>>
>>12726413
But but Argonaut!!!! My stupid nerd facts bro!!!
>>
>>12726451
The art is ugly, like a non Japanese tried to design a mascot character. It's not in the white man's nature to design a cartoon, and they shouldn't try or they'll be out of their element.

Genuine question: How did PC kids back in the day handle having to play platformers with a keyboard? Or were PC controllers commonplace?
>>
Its a Yoshi game it would have been a mediocre game for the Nintendo 64 like Donkey Kong

>It's not in the white man's nature to design a cartoon
Is that why Disney inspired the creation of anime in general?

croc's tank controls works well with a keyboard.

you never played croc? it uses tank controls

Nup, I was born in '05. My first experience with a 3D platformer was Sonic '06 lol.
Should I give Croc a shot?
>no ps1 game used the analog sticks
Funnily enough, the South Park FPS actually used them.
Always amused me how games made after the DualShock's release had to kinda duplicate their control schemes to account for the people who were still using the original D-pad only controllers. Did Ape Escape do that, too?
>>
>>12727216
I know, I guess I more meant that you can't exactly hold a keyboard in your hands the way you can a controller. More of a comfortability question than anything else.
>>
>>12727217
>Should I give Croc a shot?
sure, it's a good platform.
>>12727221
if you ask me tanks controls games like croc or tomb raider are actually more comfy with a keyboard.
>>
>>12727238
How would you react if someone decompiled Tomb Raider and gave it mouselook but kept the tank controls?
>>
>>12727208
>Fleischer Bros
jews
i prefer my history, thanks
>>
>>12727194
Do you take every tongue in cheek statement on face value
>>

>pretending
Poe's Law, faggot
>>
Jumping Flash>ape escape>spyro>crash>floating runner>croc
>>
>>12727179
At least Yoshi would have been able to get a 3D game.
