One of these games is from 1997.

Well the top screenshot looks like it's from a Nintendo DS game, so what's your point?
>>
nobody posts in your threads unless you try to start an argument huh

Console war shitposting

>>12727185
Ah, OP must be really bored lol
>>
>>12727169
Top looks better. so much more details on the textures. Bottom looks like a cancelled prototype.

ps1 3d games has aged terribly

How's the AI in MoH compared to Goldeneye?

I know in the PS2 version the AI is touted as advanced but they literally just stand in place and have weird animations that mess up your aim. Goldeneye's enemies actively track down and hunt the player, which is used to create missions where you can try to be sneaky.
>>
>>12727427
you only fight 2 enemies at the time in MoH anyway
>>
>>12727169
And the framerate drops to single figures whenever there's an explosion or more that two enemies onscreen in Goldeneye.

This game has been memed into "classic" status by weirdkid cope because it was one of the four games they had when their parents bought them the wrong console.

This happens in MoH but literally with 2 enemies, whereas goldeneye you sometimes have groups of 5+ on screen.
>>
>>12727169
The draw distance is farther on N64 than PS1 tho.
>>
>>12727169
beautiful plaid sweater, i mean night sky...

what the heck I thought n64 was the fog machine

>console from '96 is stronger than console from '94
Duh, big surprise.

So you admit defeat? Thank you.
>>
>>12727536
You're mistaken, these thread only ever exist to show that the N64 sucked and the PS1 was amazing.

OP is suggesting Goldeneye looks unfinished and poor while Medal of Honor looks detailed and crisp.

I don't know man, the GE screenshot looks better. That rifle model in the MoH shot looks messy.

Glad I took a break from this board if these are happening weekly.

To be fair, N64 also had its fair share of dithering. I usually have all the N64's imperfections left as is to enhance the horror in B3313.

Definitely a 1997 game

Nintendomination!
>>
>>12727169
Now let's compare the framerate

>Game that is meant to be played on crt looks like shit if not played on a crt
Colour me surprised
>>
>>12727871
PS1 greatly benefits from CRT but no amount of scanlines or ray tubes can save you from the N64's blurriness and very low framerate
>>
>>12727169
Medal Of Honor didn't get good until Frontline
>>
>>12728007
Frontline was great at the time. Doesn't get mentioned very often.
>>
>>12728007
>>12728026
Frontline is great.
Rising Sun is absolute trash.

>>12727923
Scanlines 100% help sharpen any game image while also breaking up the chunky look of the pixels, even for N64.

True, but need a high quality crt. Like Trinitron and Toshibas AF.
>>
>>12728007
Yet Frontline plays like shit compared to the original MOH on the ps1.

>right stick is unplayable garbage, you either aim too much or too little
>og MOH has you fine-tuning your aim with dpad and popping helmets off left and right

I love Frontline and its atmosphere but it controls like ass and you are a nigger who talks shit about games you never played for yourself.
>>
>>12727462
I made the game "crash" by placing to many remote mines all over the bunker. Explosions just kept happening and wouldn't stop. Had to turn off the console and run away and hide so my cousin wouldn't beat me
>>
>>12728170
I hate this meme. You just need any CRT that works and isn't complete trash. You retards name dropping shit like the queers with louie vuitton.
>>
Is this the Dr. Doakes thread?
>>
>>12728263
that is one of the strangest series progressions I've encountered. the psx games have very polished comfortable analog controls and the 6th gen ones control like an etch a sketch, so weird how badly they regressed.
>>
>>12728307
Exactly.

You can emulate the Gamecube version with the mouse-injection plugin and use mouse to aim. It breaks the game and makes it too easy but at the same time it feels so much better if you have already played the game on real hardware.

Or if you are dead set on using gamepad, still do emulate the gamecube version because its in silky smooth 60fps and feels so so much better than the ps2 version.

Aside from the very first d-day level which is wonky on gamecube as well.
