How did they make so much content?
By having a game riddled with bugs because so little was tested.
why don't these threads ever start with a soulful op, it's always irrelevant questions about some vague shit
>>12728097By paying a bunch of people to create content for it over the course of years. Didn't hurt that they had already been working on similar games for years before thar.
bi daily GTA SA thread
>>12728152is that 2 a day or once every 2 days
>>12728097What's even crazier is that the PS2 DVD wasn't even dual-layered.They did all that shit with just 8 gigs. Insane.
The power of not wasting half your disc space on a pre-rendered CG cutscenes
>>12728229Are you dumb or just trolling?
>>12728232audio and video are the two biggest memory hogs. San Andreas renders every cutscene in-engine, R* were one of the first devs to do it consistently
>>12728165That's wrong.Dual-layered DVDs are 8.5 gigs. Single-layered DVDs are 4.7 gigs.
>>12728136I had no idea what that dildo was as a kid but I liked the cool purple color and beating cops to death with it.
>>12728460Same for me with the gimp suit. Had no clue what it actually was and thought it looked like some super hero costume, so I just ran around with it feeling cool as fuck beating up random people lmao.
>>12728165GTA3 had loading screens between the three islands, Vice city had them between the two islands. San Andreas was six times the size of Vice City with three very different and detailed cities each the size of Vice City and a large wilderness and no loading screens.San Andreas was a fucking miracle.
>>12728540Because it loads for a billion years on boot.
>>12728097Most of it is half-assed and adds nothing. The map also isn't actually that big. When the shitty demaster came out with no fog it looked like a little toy town, with you able to see from one corner of the world to the other from a tall building.
>>12728097"hey what if we added a lot of content""ok"
>>12728135>so many bugs bro! you can't even finish it!What bugs nigger? Oh right, fun ones and maybe a few annoying ones like the basketball one and the workout one. You're like the gen 1 trannies of Pokemon who claim the game is unplayable because psychic is too powerful.
>>12728734Zoomies who swoipe their phone all day have no business saying the whole San Andreas map was "mostly unused and half-assed"
>>12728798Schizo non sequitur. Take your meds.
>>12728803Non sequiturs are funny, though.
>>12728813They were gay, never made sense. Spider Man and Garfield was where it was at. Even Marmaduke was better.
They didn't.
>>12728135SA is pretty bug free desu. Has rockstar made anything buggy?
>>12728864It's not bug, lolThere's nothing preventing you from beating the game and 100% itIt has about 100 missions. I don't recall a single one with a game breaking bug.The game is clean, despite being a huge expansion from the generic 3 and VC scope.
>>12728798I played it on release when I was 15 and thought it was boring. They quintupled the map size from 3-VC but they didn't actually add anything to do. Most of the game just involves driving from point to point in missions that last way too long. Sure you can play pool, or buy a necklace, or go to a gym, but after you do that shit once you realize it's throwaway content and they actually removed stuff like rampages and hidden packages so there's even less to do besides missions. The game is bloated for no reason like most modern games
>>12728864>>12728756>>12728895It's only buggy for pcfags, especially with fps lock off
>>12728241>R* were one of the first devs to do it consistentlylol, jarpgnigger, broaden your horizons
