Groudon is hands-down my favorite Pokemon of all time. For all future generations of Pokemon, I decide whether or not to try them based on whether Groudon is available or not.

>>12758895The phonetics of "zogzagoon" and "zangoose" being extremely similar but totally unrelated always triggered my tism for years. As well as Linoone and Zangoose being semi counterparts in being based on coveragent evolutionary similar animals presented with long claws and grumpy faces but being totally unrelated. It took me a while to be able to accept things like that in Pokemon because even Gen1 mostly tried to keep everything fictionally gimmicky, but by Gen2 they do shit like give us Heracross who has nothing to do with Pinsire despite giving Scyther an evolution who looks less like Scyther than Heracross does Pinser, and there's also a Ladybug who oddly looks like he came from the same early design pool as Scizor
