MiSTer, N64 clones, GBC clones, whatever else. Discuss.
Really enjoying my Superstation One, i can't overstate how clear the optical audio out of this is over original hardware.
That's some ugly fucking "clones"In fact glorified emulators

that mod retro needs a redesign. lookin like some leapfrog chinese knockoff shit I'd be scared to put any cartridge I care about into something that looks like that
>>12753305Way more expensive and inconvenient doing that.
I've used my MiSTer at least once a week since I got it in 2023, usually way more than that. Easily the best retro gaming related purchase I've ever made.
>>12753121I got a GBA flashcart and actually really enjoying playing it on my Analogue pocket. Still not a fan of the buttons but it's given me an excuse to dig the Pocket out and play with it.I keep looking at the superstation but every time I realize I already have working consoles with flash carts for most consoles I'd want to play on it. NES and Snes I suppose would be cool on it.Maybe if any of the misters were actually buyable I'd get one but seems like all of them are always out of stock.Does anyone know if there's a good way to hook up an Analogue pocket to a CRT?

Not sure if this fits in the thread. But I love it. Screen is amazing. IDGAF about their own published games. I have a huge GB/GBC collection. I also got a pre-loaded Everdrive GB from eBay and it's everything right at my fingertips. Probably too many games so I'll cull it down.

>>12754080Thats what it's always been and what every review says it is. The catch I guess would be you have to buy the dock if you want to use snac adapters.
>>12754084the dock seems to be the worst part about this. Its like they jammed a $5 usb disc drive in there
>>12754086Someone looked up the model of the drive and it seems to be alright but I can't remember what it is. Its just you're average laptop dvd drive.
>>12754080In some ways it's a better mister since it has "better" analog video out
>>12754061Dont recall asking
>>12753121right because they also produce drones and whatnot. its the pro-american product.
>>12753121Can someone explain something to me? And I mean this sincerely, and I'm looking for a non-vitriolic explanation. From what I understand an FPGA is an exact replica gate for gate of another processor. In all the reviews I see of these things whether it's a FPGA PlayStation or Nintendo 64 or SNES, The reviewers always mention that there's one or two or three or four games that don't run perfectly. Sure, a 99% success rate is better than an emulator or whatever. But if it's an exact replica, how come it's not 100%? Isn't that the point?
>>12754321Not ALL mister cores are pure FPGA, some use a mix of software emulation code
>>12754106I think the composite/svideo chip is straight up better but I also haven't seen any comparisons.
>>12754327Next time please don't waste my time if you're not even going to answer the question.
>>12754090>Its just you're average laptop dvd driveWhich is inherently the bottom of the barrel. Modern laptop drives are cheap, flimsy garbage by nature because there's zero demand for optical drives in a laptop any more.>>12754321Look, just shut up and buy it and stop asking questions, okay?
>>12754321It is NOT an exact replica and never can be because of even simple differences like ram speed. The core devs have to work around these differences which cause incompatibilities. Think of it more like a hardware clone. You can never make a perfect famicom with this thing but you might be able to make a dendy.
>>12754334Sorry you're so upset. Maybe actually contribute next time and you won't get called out
>>12754334Yeah and the dock is like 50 bucks so it makes sense. You can replace the drive if you want.
>>12754331Okay you're stupid, got it.
>>12754335Okay, so I have misinterpreted/misunderstood what an FPGA is. Thanks for the clarification anon
>>12754339Not really. Its mostly because fpga's are meant to be generic. If you had small individual fpgas to match each of the famicoms original chips and had the exact same memory set up then you could probably get a pretty close clone. The mister is just one big fpga chip with some generic sdram on there so they pretty much just try their best.
>>12754334>Which is inherently the bottom of the barrelWhat else could you put in the dock without making it way bigger and more expensive? I would just want the dock for the nvme port and snac ports. I don't care about the drive.
>>12754082why would anyone want to use real memory cards instead of modern storage? thats as retarded as still using ball mice

>>12754362Does the psycho mantis bit work without a real memory card on mister?
>>12754362Also I think if you don't have a real memory card you have to "save" your saves before turning the game off or they're lost. Honestly if you don't care about that its mostly just novelty I think. Its just like the disk drive honestly. No one actually needs it.
>>12754342>What else could you put in the dock without making it way bigger and more expensive? It doesn't need to be as big or expensive as it currently is. The only reason for either of those things is the garbage disc drive. So why did you buy a product that's inherently badly designed and is charging you for a disc drive that you don't need?
>>12754436I didn't buy a dock.
>>12754417I havent tried the dreamcast core but it seems decently jank. It's half vibe coded and apparently shadows cause such a performance hit in some games that they're considering just not implementing them for now.
>>12754443I should just try it I guess. I'll give it zombie revenge later and see how it does.Apparently it does not work with CE games, which kind of blows.

>>12754457Yeah it's a hybrid. Someones working on Nintendo DS as well as a hybrid.Well there's 2 groups doing separate ones. For me I think I have all the consoles I want but wouldnt hurt to have some decent next gen ones if possible.
>>12754467That one I think is also vibed to some extent. And the mistfits one is made by a full blown schizo. I think all of the normal core devs don't really want to deal with hybrid cores. Maybe they just figure that if they can't get good accuracy there really isn't much point in it.

M64 still can't finish the vine swing in DK64
I love the look of the M64 I just don't see the purpose of a FPGA platform that's not Mister. Also, the M64 needs analog out without a dongle. Superstation One has the best analog video out you can get and costs the same as a M64 and is a Mister device.
>>12754628The vine swing isn't an indicator of all that much. As long as your timings "add up" during that bit specifically donkey will make the swing but that doesn't mean much for actual accuracy unless the specific components of the frame are taking up the proper amount of time that they are supposed to. Until analogue releases the source for their core you can't know for sure if they're faking their timings for dk64 or if their timings really are more accurate.
Is Xibalba 64 dumped yet? I don't care about the M64 or its laggy BT controller.
>>12753269Do the screws on yours (the ones holding the dock onto the SS1) stick out too far, too? Mine are at the same level as the rubber feet, and it's worrying.
Just tried wiimote on misterfpga for a few minutes works alright. need to arrange my stuff some time so i can I really see how fun and accurate it is.I already had a mayflash dolphinbar hanging around and I found this video that has custom firmware to make the dolphinbar have the IR LEDS stay on 4 hours without needing a paired wiimote to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-P58zCYR9U(video is very weird but it shows how to flash it and has the file in description) (may also double as virus for all I know, but it worked)
>>12754734You can plug it in dude.
>>12754759I can plug it into your mom. Only a retard would pay ninety dollars for laggy wireless when you can get a working 2.4Ghz 64 controller from 8bitdo for forty.
>>12754773Why would I play with any controller wireless? Wired will always be better. The m64 controller is way more accurate to the original than whatever chinese shit 8bitdo is making.
>>12754454>I should just try it I guessLet us know if any games actually run properly.
>>12754826I was going to do it today but then when I downloaded it I remembered you have to set up some kind of scripts and shit just to run it since it cant run the mister menu at the same time as a core. So maybe tomorrow I'll watch a youtube guide like a cuck to install it dunno. Kind of turned off by that lmao.Usually you just drop a .rbf file into consoles folder and you're done.
>>12754814Wireless is better. It's the speed of light. Only decoding the wireless protocol slows things down
>>12754474They hated him because he told them the truth.
>>12753834Nothing wrong with original hardware. Coomlectors with 10,000 cartridges and disks and refusing to ever use flashcarts most definitely though
>>12754738Funny you ask, I thought the same thing, I didn't want to scratch up anything. I measured it out to about 1/8th of an inch clearance. I bet they used such a big head on the screws as a way to make it tool less. I believe they are captured as well. I wouldn't mind replacing them with a torx pan head for peace of mind.

Second, is it a FPGA device that plays off the original carts or one that uses ROMs? Because that is a huge difference. If you just run off the original carts the FPGA core only needs to replicate the base system, if it's loading a ROM then on top of that it also needs to replicate any expansion chips that game used too in the FPGA. Not all those chips are fully understood (It was only recently discovered that the SA-1 chip had incorrect timings, timings which every software emulator, FPGA device, and even flashcart was using, and even though that has been corrected now there are still many other parts of the SA-1 that are not fully understood)>>12754327>Not ALL mister cores are pure FPGA, some use a mix of software emulation codeIncorrect, the only core to do that is the Dreamcast core, which is more of a mad experiment proof-of-concept than a serious attempt to make the current MiSTer capable of running Dreamcast games.>>12754335>You can never make a perfect famicom with this thing but you might be able to make a dendy. You're an idiot, the Dendy is a joke compared to the MiSTer's NES core.>>12754337People seem to forget that the dock is not just a disk drive. It also adds a SNAC port, M.2 port, IR. more USB ports, and several other additions.
>>12754425IIRC you only need to do that with virtual cards, if you have a physical card plugged in through SNAC it will directly save on it when the PSX does without needing to open the OSD.
>>12754997>I'm really hoping Mister gets bluetooth 6.2 at some point. It's supposed to be a lot betterThe MiSTer has no built-in Bluetooth or WiFi, unless you got some custom setup like the SuperStation that has it built in, usually people just use a USB adapter for that, so you can "upgrade" it just by swapping that. Though note that the MiSTer only has USB 2.0 ports.
>>12755363>Incorrect, the only core to do that is the Dreamcast core,I wasnt talking about hybrid cores (which there are more than dreamaster), I was more under the impression that a lot of FPGA cores were also using emulator code within, instead of pure synthesized chips. I may have been mistaken there I guess.

>>12756489I don't have one, but it's basically a MiSTer which does support Bluetooth controllers, and the SuperStation has WiFi/Bluetooth built in so I imagine it should. I know people frequently use Bluetooth controllers with a base MiSTer.
>>12753269I wish these fucking things were more available. Half the time they're either sold out or not shipping for over half a year.I caved and got an m64 in the hopes it being open source means it'll get other systems running on it. So far I'm liking it though the software is horribly underdeveloped. Still, it looks good hooked up to a modern tv and the wireless controller is nice despite the stick not being anywhere close to the feel of the original. Now begins my wait for it to be able to play systems I actually care about, n64 library is so boring once you've played the 10 or so good games in it.
>>12756507Yeah, I love my Superstation One. If/when the M64 gets other core support I would pick one up since I love how they look. I just don't think the M64 is going to even get a fraction of the cores a mister has. If you lurk the discords a lot of people that make these cores are they type of people to really hate Palmer Lucky even though he makes parts for drones that is keeping Ukraine sovereign at the moment. I got a M64 controller coming, I hope it's as good as advertised.
>>12756509I understand people not liking the fact a defense contractor has entered their space and is now the only one competent enough to make cheap, good quality hardware at scale. I personally think Analogue is way worse cause all their shit is overpriced, powered by scalping and fomo and their products are still worse than competitors, and aren't even open source. But I can't blame someone for avoiding the guy who makes death machines. Pragmatism vs principles, both are valid in their own ways.
>>12756543Like I said, he makes the tech that is currently defending Ukraine. I'd imagine the type to get their panties in a bunch over Lucky are the type that are weirdly invested in Ukraine staying sovereign. I'm hoping after the initial rush ModRetro will just have stock on hand, no other FPGA manufacturer has managed to do that. If taki could keep the Superstation One in stock I think it would be way more popular. Also, and this may just be marketing but ModRetro is committed to quality and user repairability. Which is refreshing. Analogue is a shitty company with its business practices for sure. Though they were smart enough to shut the fuck up, early on they got a little political and into the culture war stuff which is a retarded thing to do when you are selling stuff. People forget Phil Fish was involved with Analogue in the early days. I still think it's CRAZY neither the Analogue 3D or the M64 has analog video out. Superstation One is the only one to do this right.

Which is refreshing.>Analogue is a shitty company with its business practices for sure. This is exactly why I like the M64 more than the Analogue 3D. It has zero to do with the creator, I am not even considering the creator behind them even though I dislike him, separate the art from the artist, what's important to me is that Analogue attempts to rely on FOMO and other scummy tactics (Like announcing colors AFTER the first round of the 3D sold out) with a closed source product while the M64 is completely open, customizable, and heavily reparable with just about all of even it's hardware design being open and even it's casings being released to download for 3D printers. That alone is what matters to me far far more than whoever is behind the company. Really, people cheering for the M64 to fail are just cheering for pro-consumer devices to fail over anti-consumer ones, just because they don't like the person behind it. I wonder how many of these people use Google, Microsoft, and/or Apple products, they can't pull the "Well, I can't avoid those" argument when called out because there definitely are alternatives to using those. They just don't want to, because it's a lot easier for them to feel superior for being against a product they never intended to buy than to be against a product they actively use and to give it up. Gamers who gave up Windows for Linux have more of a backbone than these armchair activists, and I bet many of those would prefer the open, customizable, and repairable product vs the closed proprietary FOMO one.
>>12756619>>12756638Aren't those cart-conversions for the DD pretty crappy and have issues saving? Problem is the DD carts were rewritable disks so the game essentially expects to be able to write to itself to save. Obviously though you can't write to a ROM that is tricking the system into thinking it's a cartridge.
>>12756507Personally I wish they would restock the MisterPi. It's the only MiSTer board that's close enough to the original Terasic board that it's also compatible with the IO boards and other DE10-nano based MiSTer accessories. The QMTech one is compromised by its stupid board revision choices - you can't reasonably use dual RAM and SNAC on it because you have to bridge a bunch of jumper cables between the it and the digital IO board.
>>12756685My anecdotal experience is with the F-Zero X romhack with DD conversion which crashed on my everdrive on original hardware
>>12756671Nah I haven't bought one because it doesn't do what I want it to.

>>12756685Yeah they're shoddy but they are still able to load and save in fact, on my original n64. I've got latest fw and bootloader, m64 updated. The more concerning part to me is animal crossing not loading.

i have beaten 20 ps1 games on my raspberry pi 2 using pcsx rearmed and i haven't noticed any bugs, glitches or stutteringpcsx rearmed prioritizes performance over accuracy so it's not as good as beetle psx and duckstation. it's for arm cpuswhen i use my thinkpad i use beetle psx or swanstation
So is Saturn on MiSTer with dual RAM and fast timings on certain games more accurate than software emulation at this point? This is one of the few things I'm interested in MiSTer for. I'm fine with emulating most other consoles, but better performance for Saturn and maybe N64 would be nice.
>>12756856i have no problem emulating saturn games using saturn beetle(mednafen fork)you just need a computer with a powerful cpu.
>>12756774>patch DK64 just so it would complete the vine swingIt's kind of a meme so I wouldn't be surprised if they did. There were times when ares made the swing and then after a few updates and having a more accurate emulator they stopped making it.
>>12756856Fast timings is a hack to compensate for the de10. If anything it's less accurate with that on.
>>12756794Your mom is cope.
>>12756852I think you're in the wrong thread buddy.
>>12756856I imagine some sir will vibecode a hybrid fork like the Dreamcast Mister core where some components are software emulated. There's a hybrid Amiga core fork that allows for much higher overclocking over the original core.
>>12756863Not doubting that, just wondering what compatibility looks like compared to software emulation.>>12756898I'm aware, that's why I specified it would only be for certain games. From my understanding, most people complain about the 3D fighting games like Fighters Megamix having slowdown issues. My question is: is everything else that doesn't require fast timings on more accurate than traditional software emulation would be, and are the games that require fast timings on at least comparable to where software emulation is at?
i saw some nerd at college showing his friend one of these things so i broke his fucking teeth and took it from him and smashed lmao loser
>>12756689Yeah, Taki really needs to make these a bit more available. They are not selling out AS fast anymore, the last batch took a few days instead of a few minutes to sell out, but they have not been restocked in a long time. Taki seems to keep taking on new projects and neglecting to stock the older ones, he's completely focused on the SuperStation now. I really hope he goes back to the Pi, I far prefer that thing and I think most people who would want a MiSTer or MiSTer-like device would prefer the Pi over the SuperStation.Likewise not a fan of QMTech for the reasons you stated. There was no reason for them to scramble around the GPIO pins. They aren't even using a different connector or putting it in a different location, they just swapped what pins do what. There is zero reason to do this since it's not like there is any reason to have vendor lock-in as they were selling them with the I/O board anyway, so it's not like there is a chance someone would buy the DE-10 and then the I/O board from someone else, 99% of people would buy the whole set at once from the same person even if that was an option. I think now they even combined the I/O and USB boards into one. and Hamgeek is no better as they are literally a clone of QMTech's clone boards.>>12756774>doubt analogue went out of their way to patch DK64 just so it would complete the vine swingI really would not be surprised if they did, they operate on some sketchy practices. Easier to do when your software is closed source as well. The person who made the MiSTer/M64 core posted an article about how easy it would be to make a N64 emulator that passes the vine test but is still very inaccurate:https://modretro.com/blogs/blog/fpga-development-deep-dive>>12756821>2015 RPi emulation is just as good as a modern FPGA coreNow that's what I call cope>>12756852I have beaten dozens of games in Nesticle and ZSNES in the past, your point?
>>12756856>with dual RAM and fast timingsYou're a bit confused there. Fast Timings is not available in the dual-RAM core, there is no need for it. Fast Timings is a hack to try to mitigate the slowdown in a handful of games in the single-RAM core that is not there in the dual-RAM core, but it makes it less accurate as a result, not more accurate. That's why there is even the option to turn it on or off, it's actually recommended it keep it off unless you are playing a game that needs it, because it can cause problems for other games that don't need it.And yes, it's considerably more accurate than just about any software emulator. The only one that would come close is Ymir, the two devs IIRC are in communication with each other to make both their cores/emulators more accurate, but with what a complicated mess the Saturn hardware was Ymir still can't keep up with the FPGA core, especially the dual-RAM version.Problem is though, dual-RAM has it's downsides, or it would have just been the default. You give up just about all of the MiSTer's analog output as a result, which is a big setback for Saturn especially since it heavily relied on effects caused over composite/CRT. There is still the Direct Video option though which repurposes the HDMI port for analog output, but of course that then means you can't have HDMI and analog output at the same time, you will need an adapter, and I think it's limited to RGB-like connections like VGA or SCART.
>>12757019Thanks for clearing that up, I just knew that there were two builds for the Saturn core depending on the RAM configuration used. I guess single RAM should be fine then, I'll wait for either the SSO or MiSTer Pi to go back in stock at some point.
>>12757019>>12757048Just spent some time with some 3D Saturn games on my Superstation One. Compared it to my real Saturn with a ODE. Even the 3D fighters are really really close now and that's without the timing hack. Burning Rangers I thought was slow but it turns out that's just how that game is.
>>12756543Anon, the launch has been a disaster. It has a compatibility list at launch. Everyone is shitting on it and I wouldn't count on it having a lot of support from the community that makes these cores
>>12756949I kind of doubt it honestly. Its amazing the saturn core works at all and it's completely maxed out on the de10. Many games will run but don't expect it to get much better. I think software emulators are probably more accurate. They certainly would have less trouble being more accurate at this point.
>>12757114The problem is both of these companies are guilty of putting out an incomplete product for their shills to beta test for the next 6 months. It sucks that "buy now for the promise of something good later" is the industry standard now, but it is what it is. The Analogue 3D was also shit at launch, they just have better PR and have been in the game longer, despite having a horrible track record for delays, constantly having things out of stock, dropping new limited colorways the minute first batch orders go out, and abandoning products that were still viable. At least ModRetro has the capital to constantly keep things stocked and support their devices for the foreseeable future, it helps to have a founder with fuck you money that is autistic and contrarian enough to do so. I'm sure the M64 will probably catch up to the A3D within the better half of a year, but I'm sticking with OEM for now before I decide which one to get.

>>12758198They're playing it the breakroom
>>12757590>would a regular n64 + flashcard be the best choice here?If you have an Expansion Pak already, probably yeah. The only potential issue I see is if romhacks larger than 64MB become the norm. Currently there are only three and are very rare, but neither the standard N64 Everdrive or Summercart can run them, though a new Everdrive that can was just announced, but it's considerably more expensive. It's possible the Summercart could be updated to support this too, but it would need a hardware revision as current versions lack the RAM to load a ROM larger than 64MB.Also I suppose if you have a lot of games that use Memory Paks and/or want to use wireless or other standard Bluetooth/USB controllers that's also a plus for using a FPGA device.Regarding Memory Paks, don't forget that N64 Memory Paks first of all are battery-backed SRAM just like NES and SNES games that saved, and you will likely need to replace their batteries by now. (Really odd choice considering that most N64 games that had on-cart saving used other methods that no longer relied on a battery) and that they both had 16 "slots" (called notes) for saves so you can't have more than 16 saves ever, similar to how a PS1 memorycard had 15 slots, except unlike a PS1 memorycard it also had "pages" which was essentially your free space. So if you have 16 saves on a Memory Pak you would not be able to create more even if you had a bunch of free space left, and likewise if a single save took up all your free space you would not be able to create a new save file even though you have slots left. I don't know what fucking drugs they were on when making those things, it's like the worst factors of all possible save designs combined. For some reason nobody has made a "Memorycard Pro" style multi-Memory Pak that creates near-infinite virtual cards per-game on a MicroSD like multiple people have done for the PS1, PS2, GC, and Dreamcast.
>>12757743>>12757752I would not get the newest everdrive, all it has over the summercart that is a third of it's price is that it can load ROMs over 64MB, which is a recent thing and very uncommon, it's likely those might be the only romhacks over 64MB to get made. Unless you really really REALLY want to play up a ridiculously hacked up version of Smash Bros (Keep in mind the main Smash Bros 64 hack people generally think of is under NOT over 64MB) or a hacked up version of a WWF game I would not spend three times the amount on the new Everdrive over a Summercart.Chances are the Summercart will get updated to support 128MB ROMs someday and buying that to replace your current one will still have been cheaper than buying the latest Everdrive.

>>12758298>Memorycard ProTrue, they did make the Forever Pak 64 which is just non volatile chips so you don't lose your save when a battery dies. I wonder if the N64 doesn't send game ID data to the memory pack thus making a VMC kinda worse to deal with.
>>12759331I’m pretty sure the Modretro controller is getting this in an update
>>12753121how good is the PlayStation Mister core vs original hardware? What are the accuracy fails or differences? Are there missing effects on some games in that core?
>>12758879Isn't that Doom-like FPS the only one that's a new game? Unless you found Extreme-G 1 and 2 being bundled together as a new game.>>12759331>I wonder if the N64 doesn't send game ID data to the memory pack thus making a VMC kinda worse to deal with. The PS1 and GameCube ones can't auto-switch virtual cards unless you have some kind of ODE or homebrew ISO loader either, didn't stop them. They would still me massively useful even if you had to manually switch cards, it's not like you can't save several games per card anyway. I had cards dedicated to different types of games for my PS1 and PS2 back in the day rather than just having the saves mixed all over the place. I don't think not being able to auto-switch cards with a N64 would be that big a deal, besides, I am pretty sure if someone made one it would be trivial for devices like the Summercart or Everdrive to add that feature just like every ODE for the PS1 or GC has done.>>12759387From my understanding it's pretty close to perfect, I am not aware of any obvious issues with any games. The problem with the issue trackers on Gitbhub for many of these cores is that they are full of outdated reports, feature requests, and non-issues from years ago that were never closed. So what actual issues there are vs non-issues or ones that were fixed while the core was still in beta are hazy. So far every time someone seems to have found a new issue, it was a configuration error or bad dump 99% of the time.
>>12759539>From my understanding it's pretty close to perfectI've been comparing my new Superstation One to my real PS1 with a X Station and I can't tell a difference outside of the audio sounds a little better on my Superstation since I'm using optical audio out.

>>12753121Why would I need one of these if I own an OG n64? What is FPGA and why should I give a shit when most of these consoles only have hdmi so I cant even use it on my tv?
The Pocket and MiSTer are in frequent usage, but I took the SNT, MSG, and DAC, out for a play and photo for the first time in five-ish years.Normally they're boxed-up maintaining a constant state of suspicious alertness in case my actual Mega Drive or SNES die.
>>12762501well, sort of. they're a surprise to me because 1. I'm too lazy to check the laws and the different tables and cross reference with whatever and exercise my own judgement/predict what the judgement of the customs person will be when categorizing certain things (I believe videogame console might be easy enough, though) 2. I often also have to pay some sort of "handling fee", sometimes to the customs authority, sometimes to the delivery company, sometimes both, and that may be defined somewhere, but fuck if I know whereI've been ordering shit from outside the EU for long enough that I've been hit with a lot of shit that I don't want to have to deal with anymore. so I usually only order from places that do that for me. modretro does, for instance, and it has worked flawlessly in my 3 orders so far

>>12762503Really wish they'd do a rerun of these or update it, I know Analogue loves their FOMO but at some point you're just walking away from free money.
>>12762550>updateThe DAC's a bit of a pisser for that because they're now up to three systems in a row that don't utilise it.Doesn't matter to me because I don't own two of those systems, and wanted the Pocket exclusively as a handheld so I didn't bother buying the dock, but it's not really a great look for Analogue.
