>Memorable Anime cutscenes>Superior sound effects>Actual Save files>No performance issuesThis is the superior version of Mega Man X3 and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
>>12761609No one else cares enough about X3 to argue for one or the other.
>>12761609My question is when the hell is someone going to use the MSU-1 chip to backport not just the CD audio, but also the FMV cutscenes and save feature to the SNES version?
>>12761631What's the point?
>>12761609This is actually the main version of the game. The SNES version is a port that was outsourced to another company.
>>12761662Wrong. X3 was outsourced from the beginning. And this outsourced game was later ported in-house to PS1.
>>12761636...To experience the CD audio, FMV, and saving on an SNES?
>>12761703No. It was made in-house for the Saturn and ported to the PSX, and the SNES port was outsourced.
>>12761758Cite a primary source for your claim please.
Yeah but the snes soundtrack is better, and in Megaman that's 50% of the appeal
SNES>Saturn>Ps
>>12761813Why? The Saturn version of X3 is just the PS1 version with even longer load times.
>>12761817AND the Saturn version is pillarboxed.
>>12761609>No performance issuesAbout that...
>>12761831
>>12761835How does this even happen on a 10x faster CPU and an actual 3D GPU? What did Capcom do so wrong?
>>12761765The director of the game.
SNES version is obviously better.
The PC version would be the best except there is a bug on modern hardware, or at least "on my machine", and the game stops being playable at the fortress. The level just doesn't load properly and there is a black screen and X just falls down and dies like in a pit.
>>12761747>what if impossible thing actually possible?retard
>>12761609the zero project shits on it
>>12761827once again proving snes games were meant to be played in 8:9 the entire time
>>12762174you don't know anything about msu-1 mods
>>12762167no, the best version would be the zero project mod, and it's not closeThe best version of every mega Man game, is a romhack
>>12761631Needs to work in conjunction with the Cx4 chip, which manages some auxiliary sprite work aside from wireframes.
>>12761835The Saturn version has worse performance (I have it physical), except for the opening FMV. I wonder how did Capcom screw that in the PS1 version since the original video is fine, but the player runs with its framerate reduced in half.
One of the strange pills I had to take was realizing that 16 bit era games aren't actually better on 32 bit hardware.Games like Earthworm Jim 2, I remember excitedly buying for my PS1 back in the 90s, only to discover later that it wasn't better than the Genesis/SNES one
>>12762353Fan shit is always irrelevant unless being compared to other fan shit.
>>12762647nah. That's lazy midwit opinion.
>>12762353Zerospics not knowing the difference between a mod and a legitimate game version, what a shock.
>>12761871Link?
>>12762964Typical, isn't it?
>>12763060>>12762964Bugman jibberishAll that matters is what people should play, dumb console warring faggot.Romhacks are the definitive versions of every mega Man game.Cope faggot. They're not sacred texts and high art, so no, the originals don't matter, and neither does the devs intentions.
>>12763356>console warringwhat are you on about, pablo? settle down
