So is anyone ever going to remake these games so they're not unplayable archaic jank anymore, or is that just an impossibility for this crusty ass franchise?
Nah if you can't handle an iconic game in its original form, you're just destined never to play it. Heck remakes always end up worse anyway, look how bad they fucked up the Skyrim remake or the GTA remakes.Every game on there is pure kino as is. I do like the mouselook patch for UU though, that's almost a necessity these days.
>>12763230>Skyrim remakewhat parallel world did you come from bro
>>12763235Sorry, Oblivion. They'll remaster Skyrim next with Unreal engine.
>>12763224>so is EA going to remake these games for the franchise they’ve sat on for a quarter century I really hope not
>>12763242Apparently Lord British is getting the Ultima rights back from EA, I heard tell.
why? what does, say, ultima 1 have to merit a "modern remake"? the story is barely existent garbage and the gameplay is dated, a remake would just be an entirely different game with the same name
You'll just talk shit about it and never actually play the game anyway
>>12763267Maybe he means The Bard's Tale Trilogy remaster treatment, updated graphics and optional QoL stuff.
>>12763224If Lord British gets the rights back then maybe. EA doesn't give a rat's ass enough to remake them and you just know that even if they did, they would just be turned into slop.
>richard garriottuh oh
>>12763230>GTA remakesThose were remasters
>>12763224I know you're really upset that the entire existence of JRPG game design rests on this series, but shitposting /vr/ angrily about them isn't going to change anything little guy.
>>12763267Man, you are just absolutely malding, aren't you? It has more of a story and setting to it than Final Fantasy 1 did.
>>12763302Now that EA turned private, we may actually get some remakes.Unfortunately it will just be third person dogshit that is completely unrelated to Ultima.
>>12763378That's not Wizardry
>>12763382uh huh
