What are you talking about?

It's funny to me how emblematic of the early emulator days these DBZ games will always feel. The fact that the late 90s/early 2000s was both when emulators took off and DBZ was getting brought to the US makes me associate them with each other and it was always fun wondering who some character in one of the games was then seeing them in the anime like a year later. I'll always miss that sense of mystery and wonder.

This move was nerfed on Butoden 3 (Piccolo isn't there but for the characters that have it), you bounce off instead of staying in place after kicking.
More balanced but I prefer the way it is on Butoden 2. Probably the only thing I would change from Butoden 3's gameplay

Haven't played it but the fan favorite seems to be DBZ II, and I agree though I enjoyed III a lot too.
Still need to play Gaiden and that GBC one

No, The Legend has traditional sprites and has RPG mechanics compared to Ultimate Battle 22 which is basically a gimmick fighter with wonky cel-shaded cutouts for sprites.
