The Odin 2 Portal is amazing as an at-home handheld, but you're not going to grab it to play a few minutes of GBA; you still need something smaller.The best, most-played handhelds are roughly medium in size. Small enough to be comfy and portable, big enough to be ergonomic and usable. I wish I knew this earlier, but I've given up my quest for the perfect pocketable handheld and wanted to let you guys know. I offer the RP Flip 2 as an example of ideally medium sized.

Had the RG SP for a couple of days now. Now that I've got everything configured to my liking, it really is just a better SP. I prefer the larger dpad, and through shaders you can have the GB Micro colors - as opposed to those ugly AGS-101 ones. It's also noticably lighter in the hands than the original. I don't love the shoulder buttons, but I'm hoping they will lososen up over time.

It works pretty good. Replacing a pc is a certainty given you have a mouse and keyboard. My biggest complain with my lego 1.0 is the shitty dpad but they supposedly fixed the problem with the v2.
As always if you intend to use a handheld PC as a pc replacement your biggest struggle will be I/O so I recommend getting a usb hub of some kind.

When you press the correct button a menu will pop up showing each of your plugins. It's just a single tap from there and barely impacts performance unless you're using heavy tdp constraints like 5w for battery life. Piracy is great on steamos so far, I've been able to get most of my pirated games to work no problem by just adding them as a non-steam game in desktop mode. The only quirk chungus I've witnesses so far is with Spacewar exploit multiplayer games. You have to do a few extra steps to get them working properly so your friend can invite you in pirated peak or whatever. I pirate pretty much all my games unless held at gunpoint so I get it. Windows is comfy sometimes because you just download and go. But you really do want a more optimal OS for a handheld. That's the tradeoff.
