Level 3 in Virtua Cop has this awesome office interior where you can blow apart all kinds of props and wreck the environment. I always loved this area, something about depicting computers of the time felt familiar but also leaves you wanting.
BUCKANETTA
>>12765758Most light gun shooters that weren't FMV you could destroy the environment.
>>12765985OP utterly and unironically raped, gaped, prolapsed and BTFO with shizz (shit combined with jizz) leaking out of his pozzed fuckhole
>>12765758Crisis Zone for me. It's like Time Crisis 2 on speed. The Die Hard 2 part of Die Hard Trilogy didn't have a lot of destructibility beyond letting you schiess dem Fenster, take out monitors, make pipes steam, and put bullet holes on walls, but I liked being able to shoot roof tiles that would fall and could kill dudes under them.
>>12766154>Crisis ZoneWhy couldn't the PS2 version have the polygonal dents when shooting enemy shields?
>>12765985Are you referring to ALL light gun games because I could never shoot that sgupid smug ass dog in duck hunt. Someone should make a romhack that let's you do that
>>12766154I have yet to see a modern shooter with this level of detail of destructibility. Crazy how Namco still mogs everyone.

>>12766154Utterly blessed game
>>12766208>Why couldn't the PS2 version have the polygonal dents when shooting enemy shields?Serious answer? The Crisis Zone arcade hardware was specifically designed to handle lots of environmental destruction and fast geometry calculations. The Ps2 looks prettier with its newer textures, but the Ps2 simply can't do the rapid environmental destruction calculations needed in the arcade version.Although I personally think the arcade version of Crisis Zone looks better because it's brighter and more fun looking.
>>12766276Haven't played many modern shooters, huh?
>>12766959Looks fucking great.
>>12766154How are you recording this without MAME?
>>12767040Namco sold a separate board that converts the RGB signal from the System 23 into more consumer-friendly formats. There are also 3rd party converters that do the same But also a recent MAME update made the game more playable.
>>12766276Not retro, but Razing Storm is the closest you'll get. It's also the spiritual sequel to Crisis Zone.Namco really did dominate the lightgun scene, huh.
>>12766154One of my fav arcade games.
>>12766535Yes, I was genuinely wonderingThanks for answering, I actually wondered why. Didn't know the arcade hardware could handle polygons better
>>12768793Think of it this way. PS2 = modern 2015 Toyota Corolla car. Looks newer and has some nice features like being able to use connect your smartphone to the car. Arcade hardware = 1980s F1 race car. It's older. It doesn't have those fancy features modern cars have. But the engine can push 1000 horsepower. That's why arcade hardware could do things the ps2 couldn't. It's also why a Crisis Zone arcade cabinet cost $4000 dollars, but a Ps2 only cost $300
