When everyone was upgrading to N64 I got a handmedown NES set it up with a commodore64 monitor in my room and played the shit out of dragon warrior.Going swimming and then 4 player Diddy Kong Racing and Goldeneye with my cousins up in Maine one of those big ass projection TVs in the basement. Pure kino. Also 2 player Diablo on the ps1 was awesome. Later years doing 8 player Halo CE on two Xbox's on two TVs with my friend and his younger retarded brothers and friends.

Going to beach resort towns and they always had an arcade in with the concession area in the 80s. The one I went to had a shuttered wall that rolled up so you basically played "outside" on the warm days, and when it rained you had shelter. They had all the premium newer arcade games and sit down cabinets like space harrier. Later on they had 4 player linked cabinet Cadash.

Atari ST in cool basement. Tons and tons of disks. Some we copied that floppy (can you believe they used to rent out computer games?), many were Pompey Pirates or Automation cracked disks. Might not play any given game for more than 15-20 minutes but it was like having an infinite treasure chest. We had this one game that was so cool, it was just a free little game that came on a magazine cover disk, it was a 2 player top down tiled archery combat game with a level editor, so much fun. Can't remember the exact title, I tried to find it recently but not even the aislop machines can find it.Also Hunter was so amazing. Can you imagine a GTA game in 1991? Spent hours on this one. It even had helicopters.

We get introduced to one another because we both love games, but our interests and collections are completely different. I was a platformer and RPG kid, he was a fighting game guy who was also heavily into Super Metroid.But it clicked. I let him play my RPG collection and he went nuts for them, maxed out levels and taught me you get the final upgrades for all the weapons in Secret of Mana from drops in the last dungeon. In exchange, he introduced me to Street Fighter and showed me I had basically been playing Metroid the wrong way for years. Many sleepovers, and a great time.
