i hate the text in this game. i have to sit through 10 seconds of text after beating monstersi had to turn the fast-forward feature on so i can fast-forward after i beat this game i am not playing it again. it stops being fun after a while
i imagine it took people decades to beat this game with the dialogue on slow

i either fast-forward or i fucking run
ydbtg
>>12768967Nice smt gameplay
I beat this on a long-weekend rental when it was new. Its like a 20 hour game on original hardware. What the hell is wrong with so called retro gamers these days?
>>12770731I don't see him auto gunning down the monsters
>>12770865I beat it on an emulator on my phone when it was old. Like a decade ago. It's the only game I've emulated and played on my phone. Was good for boring moments, could just explore and grind and the shitty phone controls didn't matter.
>>12770865Text speed isn't even slow in SitD. Here is an entire fight in the late game just before the final boss. The more time passes on, the more all that's left of "retro gaming" is what appeals to modern sensibitilies. It's sad that people don't play old games to broaden their horizons but instead only seek or like what's already in their comfort zone, when part of the appeal should precisely be to experience something different.
This looks like a fun game, thanks
Why don't you play something else if you are clearly not enjoying it? You sound like a saddo, complaining like a fanny
>>12770905I played it in 1995 and thought it was really slow even then. Then again I'm not a big fan of first-person dungeon crawlers and only played it because of its relation to Shining Force.I think you have to already be a fan of the genre to like it, otherwise there's something about the repetitive corridors and simulated cramped spaces that makes it feel like a slog even compared to JRPGs with the same length and frequency of battles on an overworld map. You get less of a sense of progress with the same backgrounds in every single battle.
>>12770905Would you eat rotten dogshit just to try something diffrent? Because this is what is like to play any fucking jrpg - like eating shit. After you turn off the game all you feel is that you wasted your fucking time on pseudo-random numbers, you spend your time on a literal casino shit that you had no real influence over. This is what turn-based jrpgs are. You must be a connoisseur of feces to enjoy this, you complain that people evolved in a way to like certian things instead of others like a fucking sperg that is genetical dead end because of some mutations that caused you to be retarded and like things that are waste of time and don't even produce sense of achievement.
Stop liking RPGs
>>12771414All I'm reading is:Waaaah waaah I don't like a thing so I've entered a thread about the thing I dislike on purpose to complain about my opinion and as I personally don't like it, it must be bad
>>12768956I'm thinking about playing it with the Antigrinding patch. Any thoughts?I played a few hours into it once and liked it up to a certain point but it started feeling like too much of a slog so I never went back. i want to give it another try though.
>>12771474Just dismantling weak eristics of "hurr durr it's fucking different". Changing your sex and HRT is also fucking different, Funny coincidence that most of jrpgs gamers are also woke tranny spergs.
>>12771389Piques my interest. Sounds enjoyable if you're a freak that mapped out the dungeons in the OG phantasy star on graph paper.t.80s boomer

Any thoughts? So what website can I visit where I can interact with like-minded peers instead of people that literally have nothing in common with me?
>>12773894This game has few enough fans as it is and you're shitting on the ones that are trying to get into it why?
