>super precise safe spots necessary to duck and hide in if you want to get any bit far in the game, coupled with imprecise controls and an awkward hitbox>main weapon is a garbage peashooter, special weapons aren't much better>all enemies are either slowpokes that barely move at all and pose no threat to you, or annoying jumping fuckers that move way faster than you>atrocious checkpoints, possibly deliberatelywhy do people like this game again? Sunsoft is the most overrated NES developer of all time.Inb4 git gud, I have beaten ninja gaiden and the battletoads turbo tunnel motherfucker
It's carried by the ost. Best soundtrack on the NES.
Okay, but is it silly-us or sigh-lee-us?
fun fact: Journey to Silius was originally based on the 1984 film The Terminator
>>12769563Silly-us.Sunsoft game that originally was a Terminator 1 game, one of Sunsoft's many licenses that fell through and they had to rebrand (see Sunman)It's no harder then Contra, just you don't have a Contra code. Get good.
I beat this as a high school student back in the day on virtualNES and really enjoyed it (and the music most of all of course). If a little scamp like me could persevere, so can you OP.
I think Sunsoft just misspelled "Sirius".why so silius OP?
>>12769606SRAUGHTER is the best medicine.
>>12769578Contra actually plays good and has good level design and enemy placement though.
>>12769606ror
>>12769525that's a lot of words to say you're bad at something.>wahh I'm not bad it's just *every single thing about the game*sure thing faggot.>Inb4 git gud, I have beaten ninja gaiden and the battletoads turbo tunnel motherfuckerdidn't beat this though did you? retarded clown.
>>12769525Because people like good graphics/music and at this department game doesn't fail.
It's rushed and unpolished but it still comes off as having a lot of soul put into it. Not a hidden gem but a gem in the rough.
OP didn't even mention the number one sin>the special weapons share an ammo pool and the game is extremely stingy with ammo pickups
>>12769563its "serious". the devs are japanese
>>12769563R-af
>>12769525>why do people like this game again?I've been wondering that for a long time. It's just... fine. It works. Yes, the music is good, but it doesn't stand out THAT much. I really don't know.
>>12770871The fact is nobody cared THAT MUCH about it until an e-celeb made a video in the late 00's. Like sure, it existed, you can find lot's of mentions of it, but it didn't have nearly the same level of popularity as other Sunsoft NES games like Batman, Blaster Master or even Fester's Quest. In the late 00's an e-celeb praised Silius and another shat on Fester's Quest and now it's like these two games have reversed roles.
