I played it a lot when I was a kid. It's a pretty good platformer.

It's genuinely one of the best platformers on NES only after the most famous titles like SMB/Adventure Island/Tiny Toons/Duck Tales/etc

In other words the fact that "1-UP" means "extra life" is actually the second meaning of the word, derived from the first meaning (which player is up to play next). Just like "retro" meaning "actually old" is a second meaning derived from the first meaning "new thing in an old style"

MC Kids uses the first and oldschool (even for the time) meaning for 1UP and 2UP
